Zuriel's staff is a weapon obtained by killing another player on a PvP world. It unlocks the Miasmic spells from the Ancient Magicks spellbook, which, if successful, lowers the foe's Ranged and Melee attack speeds by 50%.
The corrupt version requires 20 Attack and 20 Magic, and lasts for 15 minutes of combat. Meanwhile, the normal version requires 78 Attack and 78 Magic, and lasts for an hour of combat. After the time is up, the item disintegrates. The time restrictions are the same on PvP and non-PvP worlds.
Contrary to popular belief, this item does not degrade while using NON-COMBAT magic.
Zuriel's staff has the joint (with the corrupt version) second best magic attack bonus for a weapon, only the Master wand is better with a +20 bonus.
On 2 September, 2009, this staff was amongst the few to receive the ability to cause 10% more damage with spells.
