Zamorak brews are made by mixing clean torstol and then jangerberries in a vial of water, giving 175 Herblore experience. It requires level 78 Herblore to make.
Zamorak brews temporarily raise Attack and Strength by 8% + 1. It also temporarily lowers Defence by 8% + 1 and remaining Life Points by 12% (all numbers rounded down). The potion also restores around 8% + 20 of the player's Prayer points.
This potion is frequently used in conjunction with restore potions to raise lowered Defence. Contrary to popular belief, this cannot be used in conjunction with a Saradomin brew to raise all four skills as they will cancel each other out.
Note that Zamorak brew cannot be used with the Lunar spell Boost Potion Share.
People would sometimes use this potion to lower their life points to either kill themselves and fully restore their stats, to respawn somewhere else, or to hit higher using Dharok's set effect. It's no longer possible to kill yourself with a Zamorak brew.
With level 79 Summoning, it is possible to use the Titan's constitution scroll in order to effectively counter the negative side effects of the Zamorak Brew.

Flask
Edit
This potion can be made into a Zamorak brew flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.
Production costs
Edit
This table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of a vial of water, the torstol, and jangerberries. It is accurate assuming all three items are bought from the Grand Exchange and the Zamorak brew is sold afterwards.
| Herb state | Material cost | Profit/loss | Profit/xp |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clean | 12,230 | -10,477 | -59.87 |
| Grimy | 11,999 | -10,246 | -53.93 |
Buying torstol potion (unf)s is HIGHLY recommended to avoid losing massive amounts of money. Even while doing this, a player will still lose 64.79 coins per xp, so this is not a recommended training method which would mean spending 738993796 coins from 78 to 99, an unnecessarily large amount.
The addition of overload has more or less made the Zamorak brew obsolete, as the former has a far more powerful effect and requires a clean torstol herb (unfinished potion doesn't work).
Grimy torstol is cleaned to become clean torstol added to a vial of water to make torstol potion (unf).
Then add jangerberries to make a 3-dose Zamorak brew.
