Yaks live just outside the village Neitiznot. Yaks are comparable to Rock crabs as they have high Hitpoints but low combat level. This means that they are very good for combat training. The 100 percent Yak hide and Yak hair drops represent a potential of 57 Crafting experience. A bank, spinning wheel, and tanner are nearby. This all results in many people training there, but luckily yaks respawn very fast.
Note that when the Raw yak meat is cooked, it turns into regular meat.
When the isle of Neitiznot was originally released, yaks would always attack a player that had just killed a yak. This was changed shortly after to prevent players training away from their computers.
[edit] Locations
Neitiznot is only a short distance away from Rellekka. It only requires the first few steps of The Fremennik Isles quest to gain access to the area. Completion of The Fremennik Trials is required.
[edit] Trivia
If players use any item on a yak, a message will appear saying "The cow doesn't want that."
