|Examine||A pot of crushed wyvern bones.|
Wyvern bonemeal (simply bonemeal in game) is the potted dust of wyvern bones created as a result of grinding the bones at the Ectofuntus. Wyvern bones are dropped by Skeletal wyverns, which require a Slayer level of 72 to kill. When used at the Ectofuntus altar with Ectoplasm it gives 200 Prayer experience.
This can also be obtained, at up to 39 a day, by giving unnoted wyvern bones to Robin in Port Phasmatys after the completion of the medium Morytania Tasks, along with an equal amount of buckets of slime. 13 bones can be traded per day after the medium tasks, 26 after completing the hard tasks, and 39 after having completed the elite tasks.
Cost and XP analysisEdit
This table can be used to compare and decide on how to train with the bones for the most desired cost versus experience gained. Notice how the cost in coins per XP point varies greatly depending on how the bones are used — but also remember that the different methods have different training speeds.
|Experience||50||175||200||225 (Total)||125 (Prayer) + 100 (FM)|
|Cost per XP||-44.8||-12.8||-11.2||-10 (Total)||-17.9 (Prayer) or -22.4 (FM)|
- It is assumed that two incense, mahogany or marble burners are lit while using the Gilded altar.
- The costs only include the cost of bones. The cost of clean marrentills used with the burners is not calculated.
