A Wolfbane is a member's only melee weapon. It has no level requirements. Its stats are similar to a mithril dagger. When wielded the dagger stops men and women in the town of Canifis from morphing into their more powerful Werewolf form.
The dagger is a reward for completing the Priest in Peril quest. If dropped or lost the dagger can be reclaimed by talking to Drezel in the basement of the Paterdomus church. Multiple daggers can be obtained by using the Drop trick. The dagger has a +5 Prayer bonus, making it quite effective at extending prayer points. Only some expensive, rare weapons have better prayer bonuses.
This dagger is made of silver, so it is also effective against vampires, vampyre juveniles, and vampyre juvinates.

[edit] Trivia
- Although Wolfbane is a Dagger, it cannot be poisoned. Trying to poison it will result saying, "You cannot poison the holy dagger Wolfbane..."
- Wolfsbane is a plant also known as monkshood and aconitum
- In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, The Wolfsbane Potion is shown to be able to allow a transformed werewolf to control its actions, it is also shown that constant drinkers of the potion will not transform until touched by direct moonlight.
- Wolfbane is also from the book "The Sight" in which it's a devil similar to Satan and also a beast that is a vampire with pointed teeth much like the ones on the dagger this explains why the dagger stops the werewolfs transformation since vampires hate werewolves and vice versa. Considering it being a holy weapon it is also surprising that it is involved with vampires.
