The wine trick was a technique used to lower a player's Attack level so that they could still fight dummies in RuneScape Classic, but it became impossible after the update to RuneScape 2. The purpose of this was to gain experience for a Skill pure without raising their Hitpoints (or Constitution as it became) so that they could keep their combat level low. It was possible to have a combat level of 13 with the ability to carry around rune weapons.

How it was doneEdit

1. Collect the number of wines you need to get your Attack level below 8. Each one will reduce your level by 3, but keep in mind that you will recover a couple of levels while drinking/training. You can also use beer or Asgarnian Ale.
2. Find some training dummies, drink your wine, and attack a dummy. The best place to find them is east Varrock, but they can also be found in King Lathas' Training Area (Biohazard quest required).
