Requirements	Skill requirements are not boostable unless marked with a [B] for boostable. 35 Runecrafting 42 Mining (only if you use the Tunnel of Chaos to get to the Chaos Altar)
Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. Bowl 15 Chaos runes or 15 pure essence (unnoted, so it's recommended to bring the stackable chaos runes, or store the essence in some pouches) Chaos Altar access via one of these methods: Either a Chaos Talisman, Chaos tiara, or Omni-talisman/Omni-tiara/Omni-talisman staff. A wicked hood works like a chaos talisman, as long as it has one inside it. Access through the Abyss. A wicked hood for its teleport. Recommended: Varrock Teleports would be useful. (Teleport tablets may also be used.) Varrock Lodestone is very useful as it is just north of Rat Burgiss.

• Immediately west of the grand exchange is a camp. Kill 5 outlaws there.
• Take all 5 rat papers that they drop.
• Use the 5 papers on the folder.
• Talk to Rat. ( 2)…

Surok Magis

Items needed: Bowl, 15 chaos runes or pure essence to craft them

• Varrock palace library, talk to Surok Magis. ( 1)…

  1	Go on, then!

• Use any method to enter the chaos altar
• With 15 chaos runes, use the wand on the altar.
  • If you brought essence instead, craft the runes now.
• Give Surok Magis a bowl and the infused wand. ( 1)…

  1	I have the things you wanted!

• Talk to Rat Burgiss. ( 2•1)…

  2	Hello there!
  1	Yes! I have a letter for you.

• Talk to Zaff, in his shop north-west of Varrock square. ( 4)…

  4	Rat Burgiss sent me.

• Talk to Surok Magis. ( 1)…

  1	Bring it on!

• Attack the King, right-click summon with the beacon ring when he has 1 life point remaining.

Finishing up

• Return to Rat Burgiss. ( 2)…
