The Weaponsmaster plays a role and is encountered during the Shield of Arrav quest. If you are a member of the Black Arm Gang, the Weaponsmaster will attack you if you attempt to take either of the two available Phoenix crossbows (both are needed to complete the quest). As a result, he must be killed in order to get them. He will also attack members of the Black Arm Gang if they try to talk to him. He is found upstairs in the southern alley of Varrock. Players who joined the Black Arm Gang must defeat him in order to complete the quest.

If a member of the Phoenix Gang tries to take a crossbow, he will notify them that it belongs to Straven and prevent them from taking it.
