Weapon poison

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

A detailed image of Weapon poison.

Weapon poison requires level 60 Herblore to make. It is made by mixing kwuarm and ground blue dragon scale in a vial of water, giving 137.5 Herblore experience. It is dropped by ankous, warped tortoise and shadow warriors. It also can be a reward from Observatory Quest.

Weapon poison can be used on daggers, spears, knives, arrows, darts and javelins. One vial will poison one melee weapon or up to 5 projectiles (knives, arrows, darts or javelins) at a time. Once a weapon has been poisoned by Weapon poison, (p) will be suffixed after its name. Players poisoned by a dagger or spear poisoned with Weapon poison are dealt 4 points of poison damage initially; after 3 intervals of the same number the damage is reduced by 1 until the player is no longer poisoned. For projectiles, the initial damage is 2.

[edit] Production costs

The data in this table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of the Vial of water, herb, and secondary ingredient(s). It is accurate assuming all three items are bought at the Grand Exchange and the resulting potion is sold afterwards.

Material cost Profit/loss Profit/xp
Coins  6,767 Coins  -6,113 Coins  -44.46

It should be noted, however, that currently weapon poison is considered to be an item in junk trading, which means that it will be very difficult to sell back to players for money.
