A player wearing the warpriest of Saradomin armour

Warpriest of Saradomin armour is a set of hybrid armour originally obtained during the Battle of Lumbridge world event, at a cost of 20,500 renown. After the Battle, players can receive parts of the armour by killing Saradominist followers in the God Wars Dungeon. Players who purchased it during the battle are significantly more likely to receive it as a drop than those who did not. It could also be bought during the Tuska Comes world event.

The full set consists of boots, gauntlets, greaves, cuirass, helm and cape. The set scales its stats along with player's Defence level, reaching its full potential at level 75. The armour is also free-to-play but the level 75 version was only available to free-to-play during the Battle of Lumbridge. The set may be stored in a POH armour case. Upon dying in the wilderness, the armour will be converted to 75,000 coins.

At full potential, each armour piece has the same stats as their level 60 counterparts (dragon, black d' hide, or grifolic), but have a hybrid class instead of a melee, ranged, or magic class.

The set consists of:

Note that it is impossible to obtain more than one piece of each armour part at the same time, unless an earlier obtained piece is contained within a gravestone.

Passive effect

If a player is wearing at least 3 pieces of warpriest armour when damaged, there's a chance that damage would be reduced.

  • Each piece of Warpriest armour increases the chance of the passive effect occurring by 1%, starting at 3% for 3 pieces. The maximum chance the effect can occur is 6%, if 6 total pieces of Warpriest armour are worn.
  • Damage is reduced to an amount equal to 10% of the initial damage minus the total number of Warpriest armour pieces worn at the time. If all 6 pieces of Warpriest armour is worn, the player will only take 4% of the initial attack.
  • A mix of Warpriest armour can be worn to enable the passive effect. For example, if a player wears a Warpriest of Saradomin cuirass and Warpriest of Saradomin greaves, but Warpriest of Zamorak gauntlets and Warpriest of Zamorak boots, the player still maintains a 4% chance to activate the passive effect.

When the Passive effect occurs, the following message appears:

  • Saradomin's blessing reduces the damage of this attack by <AMOUNT>.

Trivia

Warpriest of Saradomin concept art

Concept art of the armour.

  • Formerly, when the set effect occurs, either one of the following messages will appear, depending on your side during the Battle of Lumbridge:
    • Zamorak's blessing reduces the damage of this attack by <AMOUNT>.
    • Saradomin's blessing reduces the damage of this attack by <AMOUNT>.
  • For players who did not participate in the Battle of Lumbridge and those who wear a combination of the two sets, the following message appeared instead whenever the effect activated:
    • The divine protection of your armour reduces the damage of this attack by <AMOUNT>.
  • The animation for when damage is reduced is the same as the Aegis aura.
  • The damage reducing effect works when taking all forms of damage, including damage from failed pickpocketing.
  • After the Battle, a glitch caused the armour to always turn into the level 75 variant when equipped, even if you did not have level 75 defence. If it was taken off, you would need a Defence level of 75 before you could equip it again. This has been fixed.
  • Warpriest armour did not provide protection in the God Wars Dungeon when first released, this was a bug and has since been fixed.
  • Before 15 October 2013 the armour was always kept upon death, outside of Wilderness.
  • At the start of the event, tier 3 was officially available to everyone, making it the best possible free-to-play armour. However in the middle of Week 7, on which cuirass and greaves were released, Jagex released a statement that tier 3 will be disabled for free-to-play after Battle of Lumbridge is over.
  • The in-game skill guide used to lists the defence level requirement for tier 2 of this armour as 55 Defence in contrast to the actual requirement of 50 Defence. This has been fixed.
