Vultures are large attackable birds found in the Kharidian Desert, near the Wanderer's tent north of Sophanem, and some east of Sophanem. Sometimes they fly and can only be attacked with Ranged and Magic. There are only a few vultures and they die quickly, so if you can hit 100 or more you will often find yourself waiting for them to respawn. They drop vulture eggs, which can be incubated at a pet shop to obtain a pet vulture at level 85 Summoning. The egg can be turned into a vulatrice egg using the special move of the spirit cobra, Ophidian Incubation. There are three vultures near the wanderer's tent, and three north of the Menaphos carpet. Many players kill vultures for the vulture egg.

Like Aviansies, vultures can only be attacked with magic or ranged when they are flying. It is also possible to attack the vultures using a Salamander's strength attack style.
