The Void spinner is a Summoning familiar, introduced with the "Summoning 2" update on March 31, 2008. It requires level 34 Summoning.

[edit] Healing

The void spinner will automatically heal one hitpoint approximately every 15 seconds up to a player's maximum. Note that the healing ability still works even if a player does not have any remaining Summoning points.

The healing effect makes the Void Spinner useful in single combat environments as it can restore up to 108 hitpoints over its summoning duration of 27 minutes. This is equivalent to 9 cooked lobsters.

Although the Bunyip has a better healing rate then the Void Spinner, the Void Spinner can be usefull for the player if he/she doesn't have 68 Summoning.

[edit] Dialogue

  • Void spinner: Let's go play hide an' seek!

Void spinner: You'll never find me!
Player: What a disaster that would be...
Void spinner: My mummy told me I was clever.
Player: Aren't you meant to be the essence of a spinner? how do you have a mother?
Void spinner: What you mean, 'essence'?
Player: Never mind, I don't think it matters.
Void spinner: My logimical powers has proved me smarterer than you!

  • Void spinner: I'm coming to tickle you!

Player: No! You've got so many tentacles!
Void spinner: I'm coming to tickle you!
Player: Aieee!

  • Void spinner: Where's the sweeties?

Player: They are wherever good spinners go.
Void spinner: Yay for me!

[edit] Trivia

The void spinner seems to be a based upon the Portuguese Man o' War
