A Vanilla pod is used to make the Brulee supreme for the Recipe for Disaster quest. It is picked in the Kharazi Jungle. Five Vanilla plants are located south-west of the small pool of water in the Kharazi Jungle by the beach. If used with the Cornflour mixture, it will create an incomplete brulee.
