Hello! I see you're kind of new here, so I was wondering if you needed help with anything. Just message me on my talk page if you need any help. Thanks! - Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 20:02, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
ooh! wow! nice forum/wiki community! thanks all for the advice/offers! how do ypou add pictures to your signatures??? and are there any templates for userboxes like "this player loves runecrafting!" and "this player wants X runecraftin" etc? {{Zilenserz 17:19, 8 June 2008 (UTC)}}
Hey, sorry for typing this message late. You can get userboxes from this page: Runescape:Userboxes. And to get help on your signature, go to this page: Help:Customizing your signature. On that page, it gives you a broad look on signatures. I suggest asking someone else for help that has been here longer (I'm not that good with signatures). If you need anything else, you know where to message me. Thanks- Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 15:57, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Hey, i was wondering, how do i add stat boxes? i can't find an article explaining how to. Edit: oops, nevermind. sometimes i can be so blind lol :P
First off, you don't animate pictures, you create animations from scratch. And second, I would suggest using Camtasia Studio 5 to make animations. I really don't make many animations, so I don't know a lot about them, but I'm sure you can ask some other users for help if you need any. Cheers, -- Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 19:57, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Contents box.... I'm not quite sure I understand. Could you link me an example? -- Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 20:02, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure about free ones. I really don't know any right at the moment. -- Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 20:05, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
You don't add a contents box. You see when a page has a lot of words on it and you have to scroll down a lot to get to the bottom of the page, a contents box shows up. This way, you don't have scroll down a lot, you can simply click the links in the box. Hope this helps, -- Spencer (Talk|Edits|Contribs) 20:12, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Zilenserz, to welcome new editors, you can use this welcoming template - {{Subst:Welcome Notice|Zilenserz}}, and then sign it at the bottom with four tides ~~~~. I hope this helps. =) CFLMTalk # Sign 09:05, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Camtasia studio 3, cracks and unlocking codes are on the web.... somewhere.... use google =D Buzz (Talk • # • √ • P ) 06:50, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
You will download a 30 day trial, then you have to unlock it with a code. They can be found anywhere on the web =) Buzz (Talk • # • √ • P ) 06:35, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Using cracks to pirate software is illegal and should NOT be promoted on the wiki. As a user with rollback rights and with previous RFAs you are looked up to by other users and should know better. This will be remembered for future admin requests. --Mercifull(Talk) 12:24, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I meant Buzz, don't worry. --Mercifull(Talk) 20:21, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi. :-) Just to let you know I made a very minor change to your user page. I am replacing the PNG version of the smiley graphic with an SVG, so I just needed to change your page so you do not have missing graphics when I delete the PNG version. It's purely administrative, and should look just the same, but if you have any questions, please do leave a message on my talk page. Many thanks. :-) Leevclarketalk 10:12, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey there! Transparency is basically editing part of an image to become completely invisible (transparent) while leaving the desired part visible. If you click on an image on a page to go the image's page, you may see a checkerboard pattern behind the image of white and grey boxes. This is the transparent part of the image. You can read more about Transparency and if you are interested in adding transparency, there are many programs available. I personally use Paint.Net, but there are dozens of other programs. Adding transparency often requires a steady hand and patience, especially for the HD images and even more so in photographic images, though luckilly we haven't any of those here. =D Any more questions, feel free to ask. I personally find transparency relaxing and enjoyable, others don't really care for it. 14:36, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, my RFA does not end until the 19th, but it seems the community has reached a concensus of yes for my adminship. Also, this will save you some time on your signature. =D 14:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
No, it is not white, it is transparent. It will not show any background regardless of what color your page background is. MSPaint does not support transparency. 15:03, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
You use the magic wand and the eraser for transparency. Also, there is a blue/grey bar on the top that will determine how much is "automatically transparent" based on the color differences in the image. I can't recall what the bar is called... You can probably google or youtube "How to add transparency with paint.net" and find a guide. Pages are looking nice as well. 18:09, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Ehh, you open it with pain.net actually. And most of them you actually have to outline every pixel of the person/object by hand and remove the unused ones. Others you can use the magic wand at about a 15-20%, ehh, whatever that setting is called, and it will kind of work. I'd suggest watching a tutorial or practicing on some easy images online first. 18:21, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Depending on your browser, you should be able to right click the image, and have an option of "Save" or "Save as". Save it to your computer, then open it as normal. 18:35, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
No, you're not copy and pasting. You're saving a file to your hard drive, editing the file, then saving it again, then re-uploading it back onto the Wikia server. 22:31, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
LOL thanks, I've used some of your editing.
Good job man, you know how to edit really good. --Boilar 14:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, my bad. Btw it's fine about the Magic tree. Just a starter, I know it'll be edited later by me. --Boilar 14:37, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh, yep sure. What would you like to know about it? I'm a master Farmer here.
LOLz cool sig. All you need to do with the plants is to plant fruit trees and trees. You start by Oak Level 15 get an acorn and a plant pot and a gardening trowel. Put the acorn in the plant pot then use water from a watering can (1+) on it then wait til it grows to be a full grown seedling then plant it in a patch. Useful to use a farmer to watch it since it takes long to grow. --Boilar 21:13, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
1. I made them up. 2. Its useful because im a ranger at heart, and like using bone crossbow. 3.There nice, using your own made-up ones is really good. Both off them are nice its upto you which one you like nobody elses choice. Santairotalk
Hi Zilenserz, thanks for the advice, but since I'm about to overhaul my userboxes and user page layout, I'm not going to worry about that just yet. I really like the "dogs have owners" sig, its looks really good =). CFLMTalk # Sign 10:49, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

And I figured LOLz. Just didn't want to ruin the picture and got lazy. --Boilar 17:42, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. We're moving our warehouse at work, so I've been pretty busy, and I will be for at least the rest of the week, possibly into the next. I think they're all neat, and I don't think anybody will be annoyed by them at all. userboxes are entertaining to have on a page, and I think people will enjoy them. =D 21:42, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunately all of my changes have been based on formatting, not actual knowledge, so I am of no help to you in this area. Sorry! -Aburnett001 {Talk} {#} 22:05, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if you have a video capture program for the wikia, but it was wrong to tell you about downloading the software and search google =(. I tried to help you out on an illegal way, that is totally wrong. I am very sorry about telling other people about illegal software. Illegal software is bad to use and you even may find problems. I hope you will use legal software, even when it's free or not. I don't want to help you getting into trouble =S...

On the page for this image, you say, "this is a transparent version of this page. I have made another page for the transparent version as some uses need a transparent version, some dont." What specific uses were you referring to?--nekobawt 18:30, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, ok, I guess that makes sense.--nekobawt 18:39, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
It depends on which detail image, generally for NPCs a chat dialogue capture works, for monsters well there is no standard that i know of yet (although familiars are once again chat dialogue), for items sometimes those can be had from the quest rewards screen, although often it is directly from the official RuneScape grand exchange database, however some non tradeable items are just pure luck spelunking through the depths of the URLs served up, but i have to say acquiring many of those is becoming increasingly difficult due to how Jagex is serving up no-trade images (multiple servers seems to be the case). Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will release all their source code (not likely to happen however) lol ~kytti khat 06:52, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
It does occur to me that many of the detail images should probably be noted with the fair use template. At least on a go-forward basis. Things like Kelda hops however were taken from in game from the quest rewards screen, therefore it would probably be a bad idea to label all current ones that way, just ones that were definitely pulled from their website. ~kytti khat 13:51, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
The farming cape animation is of my character, another editor was so kind as to convert it from a lossless video i captured into the gif format. I do not own a pith and rather dislike how they look after seeing them too many times now. ~kytti khat 16:35, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
i also have the quest cape which means i have access to the moon clan line of apparel, i used to use one that hat to get the look, btw why no amulet of nature? that's a total farming thing you know, and have you noticed that the female farmers don't tend to wear shorts? ~kytti khat 16:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Harpie bug lantern? I'm confused as to how that would make more of a farmer look. Unless you're thinking old timey american west pioneer farming after dark at which case the lantern would need to be lit. But that brings up a second question. Lit or unlit? ~kytti khat 04:06, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
The names for my cats are really just names I have attributed to them, not necessarily "official" names. Then again, I am sure I have used Felkrash to rename at least one of my cats. I can only suggest taking any cats you have to her, and seeing whether she will rename it for you. Personally, I think we should be able to name all pets. :-p Leevclarketalk 18:04, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, haven't been feeling well really at all. You are more than welcome to copy/paste the archive box from my talk page, as it simply links to /archive# rather than my specific archives. 17:46, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
To be honest its been years since I've named my cat, but I recall being able to change it only once in a pet screen or maybe a right click menu. To put it into perspective, the last time I named my cat was the day the quest was released. =\ Sorry I can't be of more assistance. 19:09, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
I have no idea, i'm merely an editor here, i've never really done much in the welcoming phase of things. Perhaps an admin or bureaucrat could better answer your question. ~kytti khat 15:35, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
I personally love the idea, as it shows a sense of creativity and originality, and would personally have no problem with it. However, the logo we use represents the encyclopedia, so if you want to make a new logo, it would have to be a community concensus. I think though, if you upload yours on a 3rd party site like Photobucket or Imageshack, that it would be fine. I think if somebody has an issue with that, I can chat with them as it doesn't seem to harm anyone as you aren't trying to change the wiki's logo. I'd say go ahead with it, I think it will be neat. 15:59, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Unfortunately here at work I am unable to download images, so I won't be able to see that picture for at least another 3 1/2 hours, sorry! I'll take a peek at it when I get home unless my wife drags me into something. Either way, I'll be sure to look at it by tonight. 19:18, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Microsociety was the guild I was in. MicroSociety is one of the largest multi-gaming guilds in the country (and parts of other countries) next to SK-Gaming. Also, to link pictures just copy/paste the image URL on your page. For my sig, I used the Template:Clickpic so you can click on my name and link to my user page. Then I created Talk and Contrib pages like you normally would for a sig with a similar green. 19:36, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Guilds are far more advanced versions of what RuneScape calls clans. And we were a hardcore raiding guild, which required dedicating at least 30 hours a week to raiding. 19:44, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
MicroSociety is I'm sure, but they don't have any RuneScape affiliates. It's a MMO guild, and RuneScape lacks the grouping function and group content that most other games do. 19:54, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
As far as on WoW, MicroSociety disbanded quite a while ago. 19:55, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
The edges around your logo seem really jagged, it seems it would look better as a circle or at least far less jagged lines. 13:47, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
You can try to smooth them out at home, otherwise make it at school and save it to a flash drive. Easy way to transfer stuff now. 17:57, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
It looks great. I seem to be having a problem changing it though. Whenever I enter the code, it says "Invalid Raw Signature; check HTML Tags". However, if I enter the code itself onto a page, the sig shows up just fine. It's odd, really. Think you could help me out? ^_^;
