I really like the second ones layout. Although I have seen similar signatures and headers out there before yours is consistent with each other, which makes it work well together. Perhaps the one thing I would change is making the text Dogs have owners and Cats have staff into some clickable links to say your edit count and guestbook or similar. Really nice. Good luck!

Re: Bot designing Edit
There are some help sites out there that do have some examples. Much I have learned has been reading pywikipedia's source code and trial and error. Rich Farmbrough would be a good person to ask since he has experience in this area also. I will give you links to two bot frameworks I know of. I have only used pywikipedia though. The help site I know of are only for pywikipedia.
- Some Bot Frameworks:
- RuneScape WikiBot Library(Written in Visual Basic .Net)
- Python wikipedia robot framework(Written in Python)
- Some places for help:
- Using the Python Wikipedia Bot Framework- A must read for the core basics.
- Bot Wiki - This site has a lot of scripts for bots.
- Wikiversity Pywikipedia Guide - A good introduction course.
- Some help good for Wikia/RSWiki specifically:
- Large job for RSWiki - Contains a request for help making a bot for RSWiki. My family file is based on this, though updated for changes since so I recommend using my bot's family file.
- My bot's source code(The code is a bit of a mess, but I learned python by building the bot and had no prior experience with bots or using external libraries. Besides, functionally is better than good looking code that does nothing.)
Make sure to plan it out, run the bot on a separate user(having "bot" in the name is a good idea, so something like "ZilenserzBot"), and request a bot flag when you use it on a large scale. Hey, nice signatures! I just thought I'd let you know that, unfortunately, W3C has deprecated the <font> and <b> tags. Your best option is probably to stick with a <span> and use CSS to set the font and such. For example:
<span style="font-family: 'arial', 'sans-serif'; color: #f00; font-weight: bold;">This font will appear in Arial if the browser supports the font. Otherwise, the text will appear in the browser's default sans-serif font. The color will be red, and the text will appear bolded.</span>

The framework you download and keep in a sub directory of where your bot is, basically the framework has all of the commands and functions you need for you to write a bot. You can't create a user welcome bot, it is viewed as not very sincere(see User_talk:Wowbot#Tasks for a record of this). I do not know of any tasks really, you could create a bot that converted "Runescape", "runescape", "runeScape", all to "RuneScape", a bot to alphabetize categories, drops. Various jobs are out there it is just hard to find it. I really do not have a lot of experience with bots, but using the framework you don't even have to write much of a bot since it has some premade bot scripts.
Here is a regex for the runescape example:

As this image is likely to be replaced by File:Excalibur.gif due to its smaller size, it is recommended that you replace all PNG versions with the new GIF version. To include the new version in your page, use the text [[File:Excalibur.gif]] (notice the ".gif" extension, as opposed to the old ".png" extension).
