Inventory picsEdit

Hai, it seems like you're in the mood for updating outdated inventory images...if I had a list of all of the inventory pics that haven't been updated in about two years or more, would you want it? Re: Quest point animation Edit

The thing is that it's a side effect of Camtasia batches versus what program Parsons uses (something by Corel or another manufacturer to make these without the indication of them being 256 colors). None of the effects appear in the actual AVI/CAMREC files, but it just turns up sometimes in the GIF batches.

Also, they are both of the same time period for avatars and the two reasons I do not accept skillcape images like Parsons is thus. Nothing over 180px wide, nothing less than 180px wide, nothing twice the size of the 500kb limit (recommendation as it is rarely enforced, if it's 1mb, it's not usually tolerated).

I generally loathe any animations over 1mb in uploads and dislike my own uploads when they are over 650kb. It just can't be helped and on another note, I would like for people to attempt to crop their animations before uploading. I update animations when I can, but I am busy with redesigning a public school website at the moment, so I can't be doing much in RS for the time being. Ryan PM 03:12, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Cos I dont have a good image editor, dont even have a workable magnetic laso tool I have to delete everything with an eraser, and im not even mentioning any technical problems I ran into on the way like trying to turn on antialiasing (yes I knew about it before you mentioned it). And I know my first screenshot was a total and utter failer please just forget you even saw it im embarrased ='(

I'll prolly just update it to keep my dignity.

Well I have gimp and I hate its "inteligent scizors" thing; it nothing coompared to what im used to (photoshop).

Indeed it is, I've just been trying to use pre-existing images for those. As far as i can tell the dimensions have changed, since the pre-existing portal images looked blurry on their respective portals, and I checked the dimensions of the images on the slider and it was consistently 660x359. Compressing Edit

Thanks man! There's 2 parts to compressing images. The first part is when you use GIMP. When you hit Shift + Ctrl + S (or Save as...) and uncheck all the options in the window that pops up. Like this:
Afterwards you'll want to use PNGGauntlet to further compress it. You can get it from here. http://pnggauntlet.com/

Thanks. As for my page about images meaning nothing, it only refers to using images as a reference. For example, an image of a forum post. You could very easily fake a Jagex Moderator forum post, claiming them to say one thing, and then claim their post was removed (ZOMG, did they leak it?!). WebCite (etc) is really the only way to go, as it preserves data that may be deleted or changed in the future, and cannot be modified, so you know it's correct. Images, on the other hand, are not nearly so trustworthy, for reasons mentioned on that page. Of course, vandalizing flipping images would be rather a waste, but people have gone far, far further with hoaxes before, for no reason at all. Hofmic Talk 22:21, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

I'll leave Sliske out of this discussion. Now, while I still consider you to be a good friend and a nice person, your logic is incomprehensible. This version is his natural pose - No it isn't! That's his stupid pirate animation which makes his robe stretch. I worked my b*tt off trying to get the normal version without any idle animation between his pirate and healing animations. So the normal version is his natural pose, the version you reverted to is his idle animation. and even if it looks weird it's still his pose. - So? "It's his animation" does not mean that if a better version is there (which hasn't been photoshopped, but direct in-game footage), it should not be uploaded. You actually admit that it looks weird and stretchy, but you discard the non-weird and non-stretchy version because he "does his animation all the time thus his normal pose without animation, which he DOES still use during ROTM for about ½ second each time, is obsolete and as such should not be used"? I don't see the logic. In a nutshell: "It looks better, but is unnatural (which it isn't), thus we must keep the worse version." Please explain. O_o Fswe1 Lore project • Fun gallery

Well, if Azzanadra AND Wahisietel AND Hazeel AND Akthanakos AND Enakhra have that pose too, I don't see any reason to upload a different pose for Sliske, as he is the only one to have a different pose.
