Template:DropsLine Edit

Hi. I don't agree with your changes to that template. On the original Yew Grove thread, it was generally agreed there needs to be less rarity options. We managed to decrease it to 4 (excluding Always), which I seemed to get no problems about from asking a lot of people. Degen thinks there should only be "Always, Common, Rare". >_> Anyway, Extremely Rare is just adding more back until we've got a whole multitude of options. Plus, the colour sucks. It is too piercing/dark, while the others were carefully selected to be pastel/faded.

Also, about your other changes to the documentation, I think it is good to include examples, but the old rarity column which was removed is very important. As there are hundreds of pages that will require change, it may be better to have guidelines/help for users so they are not totally clueless when converting the lists. It also may be required if we decide to use a bot to convert them all. I have reverted all your changes, as you did not supply reasoning; only what you were doing. Please consider that Gaz removed it for a reason, and we didn't add it for a reason after the months of discussion, both in-game and on the wiki. By the way, I recommend joining mah project about this: User:Chicken7/Drops. Also in response to your bug report, the behavior you observed is actually by design. If you make consecutive edits on the same page, it assumes you made a mistake on previous edits so it disregards any values from that revision. It was also intended to prevent people from making multiple edits with small price changes to bypass the price validation. I noticed that RS wiki uses Rich text editor. I tried to get RTE on the portuguese wiki (pt.runescape.wikia.com) but I can't. I went to preferences, but there isn't a option to turn on.

Hey, I wrote an idea for a change to the [[MediaWiki:Monaco-sidebar|sidebar]] on it's talk page but I'm guessing no one's paying attention to that page so if I posted it directly on an admins page it maight be considered.

RE: Text wrap around position:absolute Edit

When an element has position: absolute; declared, it's removed from the document flow so other elements are no longer able to wrap around it. To make wrapping work again you can change the position back to the default (static), but I think the element also needs to be placed in a different part of the HTML markup, which requires some JavaScript. Try this:

You actually are meant to show them all on their own. on the current version of the image, its impossible to tell where coif ends and body begins, and where body ends and chaps begin. There is a reason it was on a different name. When someone goes to green d'hide coif, they want to see the green d'hide coif, not the whole set. They can go to the sets page for that. Yes, I know that there are some fixes like you mentioned which somewhat help underground lighting, but it isn't really a solution. For instance, low lighting detail just puts the source of the lighting on walls instead of objects, but it doesn't increase the overall gamma or exposure of the screen. I think the only problem was a missing }}.

You could use ifexist. Expensive parsers (I assume) use a lot more server resources than regular parsers, so they're limited to 100 per page - after the limit they all return false. On Wikia the limit is 100 per page (you can check the current number in use by opening the source of the page (ctrl-u in most browsers) then finding (ctrl-f) Expensive parser function count). So I don't think using ifexist will be a problem if you keep the number fairly small. The only thing that could happen is on large archives with lots of {{unsigned}}'s, since that uses ifexist too. I was going to suggest something with variables, but it turns out variables always get defined inside parsers, whether the condition tells them to or not, so the create link would've always been Create (whatever the max supported is + 1), regardless of how many there actually were for the page. Well it's actually more of a watered-down version of oversight than it is an actual deletion. The tool is separate from regular deletion viewing despite its use appearing in the deletion log (meaning that if I use it on a particular history entry, only others with the tool can see it and under a different page). The tool was also given to us as an alternative to oversight (for copyright issues, pornographic images, and revealed personal information) which would make it much more ineffective if given to 70+ users.-- 19:23, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

I know, and I'm going to shave it down the next time I edit it. Typically I write articles, especially those that relate strongly to history, a little more broadly at first. It just helps me keep the subject in perspective so I don't forget anything or put something inaccurate in. Oic, now I understand fully. Thanks for your time to explain; I kinda figured about the non anti-aliased images becoming anti-aliased when resized and also about the matte colour in anti-aliased images. However I did not know that when non anti-aliased images are scaled down, they are defined a matte colour, thanks for clearing that up. The mourner images DO have a white outline around them, but tbh there is not much problem there since it is set on a white-ish background.
