Re:SpeciesEdit

Hmm, I don't agree that God is just a rank, and believe it should be considered to be a species. I'll seek other opinions on this. C.ChiamTalk 07:37, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

To clarify, "God" should not be a rank, because godhood is not something you can earn, nor is it something to denote that you are of a higher status. I believe that a god is a type of being, just like a dwarf or an elf. C.ChiamTalk 09:56, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
This is quite an interesting debate. But I would have to say that "god" is a species, in RuneScape context. In normal terms, I'd say rank. But this is RS Wiki. Although there may sometimes be 2 species, like in the case of an Elven God. Cheers, KandarinSmall.png Chicken7 >talk 10:10, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
Species cannot change. If you are born human, you will stay human. Zamorak is a Mahjarrat (species) and he became a god, so it proves that god is not a species, or at least it isn't a species in Zamorak's case. --Muhahaa 12:56, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
I don't see why not. This is RuneScape after all, we're not bound by scientific technicalities. Who knows? The power of Zaros flowing to Zamorak through the Staff of Armadyl could have been so great and magnificent that it changed Zamorak from a Mahjarrat to a God. Not that I actually believe that word-for-word, but that's basically what I mean. C.ChiamTalk 12:58, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
RuneScape is not Digimon or Pokemon, however. The gods who were not born as gods (proven: Zamorak, Marimbo) prove that it's possible to become a god and therefore it's not a species, unless Jagex has gone anime (Digimons and Pokemons change species when they level up). --Muhahaa 10:54, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
I didn't say RuneScape was Digimon or Pokemon. How does Marimbo prove that it's possible to become a god? And if it is the case that the transferring of power from Zaros to Zamorak changing his being itself, it doesn't mean that Jagex has gone anime (not very constructive discussion). Again, I disagree that Zamorak becoming a god proves that god is not a species. C.ChiamTalk 10:58, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
Marimbo was Guthix's pet monkey. He stole some kind of potion from Guthix, drunk it and gained godly powers. I don't remember where I have read this.--Muhahaa 13:36, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
That information used to be in the Marimbo article but was just Fanon. C.ChiamTalk 13:37, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Iban Edit

All evidence from in-game points to the fact that Iban is a ressurected Black Knight who took the title "Son of Zamorak". When asked about it in the God Letters, Zamorak replied "Either. Both. Does it really matter where the blood came from, as long as it is still mine in thought and deed?" which is a fairly neutral comment and doesn't prove anything.

--Armadyl symbol Nightgunner Talk Illuminated book of law 19:35, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Therefore, Iban belongs to the "unconfirmed" area. --Muhahaa 21:24, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
No, not really. Zamorak's comment doesn't prove anything and therefor must be disregarded as evidence. The only remaining evidence is the History of Iban and I'd say that confirms the fact that he is, indeed, NOT the literal son of Zamorak. --Armadyl symbol Nightgunner Talk Illuminated book of law 01:48, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
That's your opinion. Wikia isn't a place for opinions. There is no 100% canonical proof of what Iban is. The fact that "shadow" and "blood" were used in Iban's resurrection and banishment may tell that Iban is at least 50% Mahjarrat, the other half being human or something else. The elements of a pure Mahjarrat are smoke, shadow, blood and ice. --Muhahaa 15:02, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
Alright, I am going to break this down. We have three pieces of evidence at the moment, feel free to present more.
  • A comment from Zamorak in the God Letters: "Either. Both. Does it really matter where the blood came from, as long as it is still mine in thought and deed?" Could you honestly say that this points EITHER WAY?
  • Blood and Shadow are used to resurrect Iban. While I can't really disprove this, I will give you my OPINION on it. Firstly, if he was half-Mahjarrat, it would make more sense for all four elements (blood, shadow, smoke, and ice) to be present, but in smaller amounts. The presence of these two elements is merely a coincidence. Secondly, both Akthanakos and Azzanadra had their essence bound into diamonds/crystals/whatever. Iban is resurrected and killed using a Voodoo doll type thing.
  • History of Iban, a book found during the Underground Pass quest. Read this passage: "Iban was a Black Knight who had learned to fight under the great Daquarius, Lord of the Black Knights. Together they had taken on the might of the White and the blood of a hundred soldiers had been wiped from the sword of Iban. Iban was not so different from those who tasted his blade: noble and educated, with a taste for the finer of things available in life." This seems to imply that Iban was human.

So, you are correct in say that there is no 100% canonical proof as too what Iban is - but the evidence points towards him being Human. --Armadyl symbol Nightgunner Talk Illuminated book of law 19:00, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Have you anything else to say on the matter, either here or on Template talk:Mahjarrat? --Armadyl symbol Nightgunner Talk Illuminated book of law 13:33, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Handelmort Edit

I just don't see what purpose it serves. True, it's kinda interesting, but we passed a 'rule' recently that reclassified some bits of trivia as 'trivi-ugh'. I'll find you a link if you'd like to see it. Smile ASATO MA SAD GAMAYA 20:47, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Dark Lord Edit

Are you sure? I'm sure I read somewhere, maybe on this wiki, in fact, that it was revealed at the end of Within The Light that it was Zamorak, not some other Dark Lord? Hm. Maybe that was an incorrect fact too. Well sorry for tagging the article, anyway. 16:52, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

RuneScape:Requests for deletion/Sallamakar Ro Edit

If you want to keep this, then why are you running an rfd for it? Matt (t) 11:12, September 30, 2010 (UTC)Lol oops sorry. I wasn't meant to post that here... Matt (t) 11:19, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
