[edit] Main Page
I have several things in mind:
- The icons overlap in smaller browsers, especially in Monobook skin. I suggested earlier that smaller icons (75x75 pixels) are used, placed in a single line.
- Could you include the "On this day" section somewhere in the Main Page, if not at the top of the page? Preferably below the featured user?
- The copyright notice is missing. "RuneScape is copyright 1999–2009 Jagex Ltd. The RuneScape Wiki is in no way affiliated with Jagex."
- Can our policies and stuff at the top be moved to the bottom, with the sister sites?

Sister wikis is in the Monobook skin sidebar (located below the "content" section; autohidden on load), but I don't know about Monaco. It can be removed if it is in both sidebars. az talk 07:12, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Two more things:
- Could you fix the overlapping icons? I noticed this in Muppet Wiki too, although not as much.
- Adding the "On this day" section at the top seemed to have added "2004" and "2008" into the list of keywords. Any way of preventing this from occurring without the removal of the section?
Thanks. az talk 04:55, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Joe, why do you only care about Az' feedback? Shouldn't you involve more people in it? Or are you guys working on another version which I will merge later with mine, if the community likes it?

- Ok. Once you guys are done, I was thinking of showing the 2 designs available (yours and mine) and let the community pick the best things out of each. Then later on we can merge that into one.

Yup, it appears okay now. Go ahead and make a forum topic. Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy.
- Removing the bold in the "year" links removed them from the list of keywords.
- I fixed the overlapping bug, so that the icons wrap according to the width of the browser. az talk 21:27, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I forgot to mention that the forum is Forum:Yew Grove, and not the other forum you posted on. Sorry. Could you post it in Yew Grove? az talk 05:58, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- The latest version is located in RuneScape:Main Page. Could you comment on that? I just updated your version (with less links) and improved the colours and HTML based on ElfAnurin's version. Most of the links you mentioned have been removed except for #11, 12, 13, and 14. az talk 19:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Another Wiki, possibly?
I've noticed the work your doing to the RuneScape Wiki's Mainpage and was wondering if your could help in designing one for the MechScape Wiki aswell. The game has not been released yet, but when it does it will be the mainpage users first see and I want them to be attracted to the design, and the modern one yours proposing here would be a great fit there aswell. Is that at all possible? Our community is still small, but I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks. 18:55, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[edit] Your Design
Great job with your main page design. It looks very nice and thanks for taking the time to make one. ღPanjy16 ★ 08:19, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] RE: MP feedback progress
People seem to be liking ElfAnurin's version compared to the other versions, because of its colourfulness... If you ask me, Elf's version doesn't serve the purpose of why we decided to redesign the Main Page in the first place. We wanted better SEO, and Elf's version just isn't the one best optimised for search engines. Most users seem to be unaware of this fact. I guess users are looking at the aesthetics, rather than the optimisation.
ElfAnurin is going to come up with a "merged" version soon. (Sorry Joe, but this wiki is kinda slow at decision-making.) We'll just have to wait and see. az talk 04:32, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
