We'll start with something simple.

Links.

An external link can be made by using one square bracket on each side of a url, like so:
[http://www.youtube.com/user/jeknexus]
This would show up as http://www.youtube.com/user/jeknexus
You can also create an external by simply pasting a url, http://www.youtube.com/user/jeknexus
The advantage to using the square brackets method is that you can add a space after the url, then change what the text says by typing something, like so:
[http://www.youtube.com/user/jeknexus Click here for epicness]
This would show up as Click here for epicness

An internal link can be created by using double square brackets.
An internal link links to any article on the RSW, not only Mainspace pages (articles about the game, such as Bucket, which has no prefix.), but also Talk pages, Template pages, Forum pages, and more which you should learn about later.
Using [[Bucket]] would show up as Bucket.
To show you that you can link to other "spaces" by simply placing the space's name, then a colon (:)
Using [[File:Bucket.png]] would take the file (we call images "files" here), and put it in place of the words:
You can also change the name of internal links by adding a pipe symbol (|) after the name. For example, [[Bucket|Amgz0rz Bukkitz rooool]] would show up as Amgz0rz Bukkitz rooool.

That's pretty basic I'd also like to add that you can use bold text by encasing your text in three 's. Ex:
'''Bukkit''' = Bukkit
You can do the same thing with italics, but with two 's. ''Bukkit'' = Bukkit
Using five 's would give you bold and italicized text. '''''Bukkit''''' = Bukkit

While I wait for you to test, I thought I should let you know that we have a policy of not uploading personal images, such as your . That does not mean that you however cannot use personal images in your userpage or a talk page You can do this by uploading the image to photobucket/imageshack, then copy/pasting the direct link to where you want the image. You're catching on fast, that's good though :) I'd suggest reading the style guide to learn a bit more about basic editing, it might help you with your userpage.

As for your signature, you've confused me a bit Do you want the whole curved box to be all blood red? Blood red background, blood red border, and even blood red text? I'd suggest maybe black or white text if you're gonna do that. Just be a bit more specific Also, you and other people can only only see the curved border in Firefox. Now that your signature is made, you can now use it to sign your posts. To do this, you can either copy and paste the above code into each post you make, or you can go the much easier way, by using ~~~~ or the signature button. The latter of the two requires a small setup:

(NOTE: I wrote the following little mini-guide a day or two ago, to help out another user, NK-Metal. I'll use it again here so I don't have to type the same exact thing >_< Here ya go.)

Alright, this may be a little confusing, but I'll try and make it clear. I've just made signing your posts much easier, by creating your own Signature page, at Template:Signatures/Jek Nexus. Here, you can edit your signature however you like. The convenient part about this, is after setting your preferences correctly, you can just click the Signature button () to sign your posts, or you can type ~~~~. This is much more convenient, as you can sign with the click of a button, and you don't have to copy/paste your signature's code all the time.

To set up your preferences so you can sign this way, you must:

1. Go to your preferences page.
2. Under the User profile heading, you should see a box with "Signature:" next to it. Copy and paste the following code inside this box:

{{SUBST:Nosubst|Signatures/Jek Nexus}}

3. After you've done that, there should be a checkbox that says Custom signature. Make sure this box is checked.
4. Scroll down and click "Save".

You're done! You can now sign your posts with ~~~~, or click the signature button.

Just another note, if you ever learn HTML or how to edit signatures, you can edit it at Template:Signatures/Jek Nexus. This is where your code is kept.

Duradel vs Sumona Edit

Seeing as you're a 99 slayer, I was wondering if you could read this page (the part about Duradel vs Sumona) and tell me your opinions on my analysis. I've noticed that a lot of people say "lol Durdel iz bettur", but can't really explain why except for the vague "it's better XP" excuse. Maybe you could prove me wrong... Yes, I probably would have to agree with you now, but Sumona would probably be better before level 85 slayer, because you can't make much real money before that unless you get stuff like warped tortoises and cave horrors. I've known about how warped terrorbirds and scabarites are underrated but never tried them. Chiming over and over would probably be too much for me, and using Duradel with your methods (Piety on some tasks and praying while cannoning on most cannon tasks) would probably LOSE me money if I don't get abyssal demons.

Also, this might be of interest to you. It shows a log of slayer tasks I've gotten from Sumona from level 73-82 slayer. Cave crawlers (I'm telling you right now - they are amazing xp), aberrant spectres (the only cannonable task I don't cannon so I can hold a profit), and banshees (decent cannon xp but they aren't too concentrated in one spot) have been dominating my assignments recently. I went through them all, and Sumona gives 8 (9 if you would do warped tortoises but they would die so quickly with just 2 spawns) cannon tasks, and Duradel gives 6. Wouldn't that mean she is better XP? Of course I WILL admit - waterfiends are a MAJOR reason to use Duradel. But I'm also concerned about losing out on XP in the skill I'm trying to get 99 in right now - attack. Using a SS on waterfiends would get me strength xp, and ranging black demons...probably wouldn't hurt seeing as I'm only 77 ranged, actually.

As for the equipment - I know, it's totally worth having (except maybe the tassets...seriously, d legs with 2 strength? Really? And bandos chestplate becomes obsolete if you have a high enough defence level) IF you can afford it. I happen to have 30m at the moment. With my current setup, what should I buy first? I'm guessing a DFS.

Also, feel free to add me in game (Cashman286) if you would like to have a conversation about this (or anything else for that matter) - it would seem you're very knowledgeable about slayer, which I'll be doing probably for the next year or so, so it would be nice if I could learn from someone. Okay - so I can profit by using piety still? Would it then not be worth buying tassets and just using prayer equipment such as proselyte body + Verac's skirt instead? Also, what tasks are worth blocking? I'm guessing steel dragons, aquanites (I refuse to do tasks of these - I've tried using Karils and still take 30-40 damage per task), warped terrorbirds (I just don't think I'll be able to handle them), and maybe wyverns. Would it be worth it to switch to Duradel NOW with just a 30m budget (and still have money leftover for cannonballs and potions), 90 attack, 90 strength, 85 defence, 77 ranged, 70 prayer, and 73 summoning? Welcome to the Wiki! Edit

I see that you have had a little bit of a "baptism by fire" coming here. Still, I'd like to say a general welcome to our community and I hope that your little project can be incorporated into the larger structure of this wiki. How and where it might fit in can be debated, but I would like you to know that I am giving it some thought. It really is a neat idea, and we always like some fresh blood coming in here with something very much off the wall and new to the community.

This table of yours certainly does that.

There are some things we could do to try and fix up the table including adding links to the actual channel pages and possibly even having a "best of" or "most viewed" video from each channel playable within the page.

Anyway, I'm certainly willing to answer any questions you may have, or you can also ask for guidance and technical support on the Yew Grove or on the forums as well.

Actually I got those images from the Game Guide when Jagex first relased skill capes. They had three animated GIFs that cycled through all the skillcapes and hoods. Thanks for the advice . I added most of it, including the arrowheads, battlestaves, ivy berries, and Moonclan tele ( I highly recommended it :P) bits, but I'm unsure of a few things. If you're going to use the house tele to buy eye of newt packs, when would you do it? My combats level 93 in P2p. My slayer level is also only level 30.

Well i guess i should rephrase it lol, what i meant was in order to gain 99's in like attack, defence and strength, when combat wise should i start training it?

Well i don't know what combat you started, but i personally don't want to waste time getting like Crocodiles to kill when i could be a higher combat and getting Mithril Dragons to kill from Kuradel or something, which if i was lucky enough would earn me a hell of a lot more GP.

I guess that clears it up a bit more :P
