[edit] Your edits

Hi, I've seen some of your edits, and I'm sorry to say that they ususally do not help out the wiki that much. For example, on the Runecrafting article you only edited in "Zmi altar is the quick way to train runecrafting.", which doesn't help the article at all, is opinionated, and is covered by the altar's article much more. Another edit was on Monk's robes, where you stated "Somepeople think the new monk robe look stupid.". When you edited in "Somepeople think the new monk robe look stupid", it signified an opinion only, not a fact. Please do not place opinions on the wiki; it doesn't really help that much, and I'd like to see newer editors like you flourish rather than falter. Perhaps checking the Style Guide would work? [edit] The Style Guide

I can see that you want to be helpful and make useful contributions to this wiki. But I think you really have not read the Style Guide as User:Stinkowing suggested. It is VERY important that the information we present is in a neat, clear, concise, uniform manner. So you NEED to read the Style Guide, there is also some great information on it's talk page here RuneScape_talk:Style_guide#You_or_The_Player.3F_for_quests.2Fminigames. Basically you need to stop using the words "I" "you" "your" "you're" because that presents a point of view that the wiki wants to avoid. If you spend some time reading some of the more well written articles you will see what I am talking about. Look at this months featured article, and past months also. They are chosen because they are in the correct format (and a bunch of other reasons). Facts and data are always put in their proper paragraph, not jumbled around. If your not sure about something, put a question about it on that articles talk page or almost anyones talk page, we all want to work together for the betterment of the wiki. --Degenret01 23:27, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello. An image that you have uploaded appears to be a personal image. Personal images should not be hosted on RuneScape Wiki (see RS:NOT#HOST). If you want to add a picture of your RuneScape character, or any other picture that doesn't fit in an article, you can upload it on an image hosting site, such as Photobucket or ImageShack. You can then insert it into your userpage simply by copy/pasting the picture URL where you want to insert it. If you need more details feel free to ask any question you have on my talk page.

Hi Japol1. Regarding your request, my computer is having some issues with RSHD so I can't really take many HD images, which is why I mainly do transparency and map image updating.

But also regarding one of your recent edits to the Man article, it is requested that editors do not sign their name on main space articles. Also, I have reminded you before, to only add {{Construction}} to articles that you are planning to re-write or change in a large way. Thanks,

[edit] Cleanup of User Page.

Please not to try to add anything to the Main Page unless it is helping out the Wiki. Adding a headline that says, "Don forget to watch OLympics" is not RuneScape or Wiki related. Well japol1, if you read the block log, it shows you were blocked for adding stuff that you were told not to add. Not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 times by 4 different users your edits to the main page had to be reverted. This CLEARLY shows you are not paying any attention to what the people on this wiki want it to represent, but only to your own thoughts. Your block is for 1 week, then they will let you edit again. If you spend some of that time (like maybe 30 to 90 minutes) reading the various discussions (try the Yew Grove) you will see how things are handled when someone wants to do something different. Japol, I would like to talk to you about your edits here on the RuneScape Wiki. I have looked through your contributions, especially recently, and I have come to the conclusion that your edits are not helping much. Let's look at a few examples.

• Little comprehension of orders-You were recently blocked for not taking an order to stop editing the Main Page. From what I see, you were KINDLY (though firmly) asked FOUR times to stop, and yet you did not, instead choosing to continue editing the Main Page.
• Poorer-quality linguistics-Your language skills in general, unfortunatly, are not good at all. I can see that your spelling, grammar, and capitalization skills are not that good. "Unblock me please. It was nothing reason." and "Omg i am Block. What the hell happened?" are a mess in terms of language. If these sorts of things were added to an article while that spelling was still there, it would LIKELY (but not 100%) be considered vandalism.
• Biased information-As I have stated in my first message to you in this message from earlier this year, opinions are not allowed into articles. You have been directed to the Style Guide THREE TIMES, and I'm now positive that you have not even attempted to look at it, considering that you have uploaded personal images, added incorrect templates, and done other minor mistakes that you continuously make.

I would like you to understand that I am telling you this to help you, not hinder you. Read the Style Guide, and then, when your block expires, you can put that information to good use. Thanks for reading this! Stinkowing _{(WHAT'S IN IT?)}

Indeed. They ARE real templates, but they're OUT-OF-PLACE. Let's look at the facts.

1. Thordur and the Black Hole articles: Because they are no longer existant and never will exist again, you did NOT need to add the {{obsolete}} template to the pages. Jagex NEVER will update them! EVER! And yet you added {{obsolete}} to the page anyway.
2. Lesser demon and Mr. Mordaut articles: They were FINE. Demons and dragons were the VERY FIRST major graphical rework since RS2 was first released. And, as you could PLAINLY SEE, they already HAD those updated images there. Granted, the Mysterious Old Man needed the template on it, I'll give you that...but the others were FINE.

This is the last straw. If I see you do another TOTALLY unconstructive edit, I'll have no choice, but to block you for a bit longer. This CANNOT go on, Japol. We have pushed, prodded, and poked for you to read the Style Guide, but even now, it seems you totally blew by our advice and tried to do things your way. We are not going to baby you; if you cannot adhere to the guidelines of editing, you cannot possibly expect to not be blocked. Stinkowing _{(WHAT'S IN IT?)}

Japol, I am pleased to see that you have improved on your editing techniques, as we suggested. Your image uploads are especially nice, as the user above mentioned, and I'd like you to keep up the good work!

However, something else is making me a bit concerned-this "CP Josh" person that claims he's your brother...I might have to moniter both of you, sadly. This is because the spelling/grammatical errors you have are present on what's currently his small userpage as well. This APPEARS to be a case of sockpuppetry, but since I'm not sure, I'm just letting you know that I'll be watching to see if CP Josh really is a sockpuppet or if you speak the truth.

Of course, this COULD be a meatpuppet account, where he IS a different person than you, but during community discussions, always supports what you support. For example, if he were to nominate you for adminship, then he'd support your cause a bit too much. Think about it-he's your brother, correct? USUALLY, this signifies that he supports you every time (but not always, I'll admit), but regardless of whether he supports you in that example...two siblings/good friends who both want something for one of them is considered meatpuppetry, and that's just as bad as sockpuppeting

I CANNOT emphasize enough about how unsure I am about accusing someone of Wikipuppetry. I ONLY (I repeat, ONLY), am going to watch you and CP Josh becuase of the similarities I've seen. However, I will reiterate that you're doing a MUCH better job with editing the wiki! A'ight, I'm done here; time for lunch... Stinkowing _{(WHAT'S IN IT?)}

I personally use Paint.NET which can be downloaded here. However, some images require a lot of patience and a steady hand to outline the entire object and erase everything else. Others can be done in a few steps with the magic wand and a few minutes of touch-up afterward. You might want to search for a transparency tutorial if you are unfamiliar with picture and image editing. 21:40, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

japol, about your contribution to the glitches page- Not only was there no proof whatsoever, but it was written horribly. please provide some kind of proof (clip, screenshot, ect.) and then take your time writing the section, its not going anywhere. When you think an article deserves to be featured, it should be for the article itself, not how cool or fun or worthy the item itself is in the game. For cooking , it could be nominated for all the valuable training tips it provides, and the completeness of everything one needs to know about the skill. These are the types of things that AOTMs need. You should probably rewrite your nomination or it may get deleted by someone.--Varthlokkur 07:34, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi.  :-) I just need to say that in the last few minutes I blocked you and then unblocked you.
