It was partly wikia's nub serves, as where you were trying to move the image to needed to be deleted, even though there was nothing on that page. It happens every now and then, that even if the redirect is suppressed, the page stays created but says it doesn't exist. Sentra246 06:50, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Null Edit

In this situation, null refers to any item that has been hidden by Jagex. For example, each stackable item has different IDs for the sprite that shows up when you change the quantity; those items are not supposed to be seen, and Jagex covers them up as null. There are plenty of instances where the null is accessible through everyday gameplay (a quick YouTube search will find some legitimate findings), so this is a glitch image more than anything else. When you access the null in-game, it has a distinct sprite, which looks like a dwarf's head. That's what the image is for. It's Cook's afterbirth day! 03:32, February 4, 2012 (UTC)

Nope, that is certainly not just you. I have been bitching to Wikia for more than a year about how awful Special:Search really is, but it actually seems to have gotten worse. At this point I don't bother with using the wiki search for anything (especially non-mainspace stuff). Google usually does the trick, when it's something like "site:runescape.wikia.com/wiki/User:". However, there are thousands of readers who don't know about that, and use the search anyway--we get about 10,000 dead-end searches every day here. As you've probably seen, I've spent lots of time making redirects for typos and section headers (and lowered the number of dead-end searches), but all of it would be unnecessary if Wikia spent some of their time developing a useful search engine (instead of crappy talk page replacements). Of course, when you're kicked from a clan your xp is reset, so when he rejoined his xp gained was 0. The bot looks at all revisions that it has not seen, and considers every line of the correct format a new request. So when you want to make a new request and it's processing one, then the bot will do it when it is done with the current revision.

Yeah, I said to go ahead with a huge request of 3000 images, but what I didn't expect is so many red links appearing all over the wiki between the moves and the edits to fix the red links. Cook Me Plox alerted me to that.

Saftzie edited a page, fixing the red links, because s/he thought the bot would not follow up. The thing is that it would follow up, though; it will just not edit that page now because it's already fixed.

Currently, the bot does the moves and the edits in two blocks. Perhaps it would be best to interleave moves and edits for a hundred images or so, to get the benefits of both things on the table.  a proofreader ▸

Yus I do read bot summaries, as I stalk Special:Log along with Special:Contributions/newbies and #cvn-wikia-runescape on IRC, and Special:Log has no bot filter. If there's a bot spamming, I usually don't watch the Log for a while, but when I checked the Log I saw that summary before being able to not watch the log for a while (if you know what I mean ^_^). Ohi,

I requested that A_proofreader stop running the task you requested. While uppercase PNGs are the bane of the wiki, it was screwing up too many pages for too long to be viable right now. It was about 10% of all the wiki's files, and it would have taken at least 12-15 hours to move all of them and update the files. It was getting to the point where a lot of large pages were unreadable. Proof is going to change his bot so it does moves and reference updates in packs of 100 or so, so you can hopefully re-request that very soon. It's Cook's afterbirth day! 11:28, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

I made another request to update references to the files that were moved successfully according to the bot's log. It is here. tagging for deletion Edit

could you please remove/update filelinks for images when tagging them for deletion? It's quite annoying for admins to clear out the speedy deletion candidates and to have to remove all filelinks too. JOEYTJE50TALK  20:16, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Image move bot glitch incoming Edit

There is no way to undo the glitch now, because the task list has been created and it will need to run until the end because some images have been moved.

Basically, the way I split your request makes it so that you'll get a new section entitled "Image move request #5358384" after every 100 images, so 31 new sections. They'll be spaced... some time apart, not all at once.

Image move bot glitch over Edit

With the glitch gone, you can finally request the rest of the .PNG, .Png etc. images.

The two requests I made to fix those red links have completed now, and should have taken care of all the red links on the wiki caused by my cancellations of your request.

I think that regetting the list of .PNG and .Png images from the wiki will be more accurate for the re-request.
