I'm liking those drop tables, I came to the conclusion that things like the average kill value settle down by the time you get to 100 kills, along with -to a lesser extent- the more common of drops (i.e. gold to 1 sig fig). It might be worth taking it back to YG, your one with 500 kills is a good show of what we can expect from these tables in early stages. I would personally suggest that we make a subpage on every NPC page with a drop log for F2P, P2P with no drop enhancement and so on. We could then link to them from the main NPC page once they have 500 kills or more. With a warning about inaccuracy which we could remove if the kill number gets massive (10,000 should be enough to cover all the drops of most F2P monsters).

code you gave me for adding my name in a large golden manner at the top of the page, however, the code doesnt seem to of done anything the the word written down in it. Ohai I be reporting a vandal that has a bit of a back story, so its not suitable for the one-liner of the CVU. This vandal, User:Chiro9 keeps making the same edit, over and over, to the Plague quest series article and its template (here are the most recent examples: article, template). Each time the edit has been reverted, and he has received multiple requests to stop on his talk page, yet he continues to persist. I believe that this person is a user account created by an anonymous IP (84.236.6.160), which made the same edit as Chrio9 over and over and over. This IP had also received multiple requests to stop on their talk page. Any help you could give in this situation would be appreciated, be it protecting the pages or blocking the user involved. Hi Gaz. Sorry for being so annoying but I need a coding advice. I'd like to ask how can I add up 2 numbers. For example {{GEPrice|Maple logs}} comes out as a number 45. If I wanted to add the price of Teak logs to Maple ones I'd just put a + between them like you did with minus in my experience table. So it would look like this: {{GEPrice|Maple logs}}+{{GEPrice|Teak logs}} but it doesn't work and only comes out as a text ( 45+115 ), not a value. Can you please help me again ? Template:Charm Edit

I did a drop log of 121 kills of Kalphite workers and updated the charm drop information using your spiffy new template. You will see on the discussion page for that monster that another player disagreed with the numbers I came up with, saying I had too small of a kill rate for my drop percentages to be accurate.

I've been doing some research, and found the formula that's used in this case so that when (for example) you measure 6 gold charms out of 121 kills (5.0%), you can say with 90% confidence that the actual drop rate is somewhere between 2.6% and 9.3%. That range obviously tightens up as you do more kills and get more data.

Do we want to somehow specify the charm drop rate as a range? Or does that just get really ugly really fast?

Or maybe just some text under the table that says (if the total # of kills is < 250) that the data may be off due to a small sample size?

I really like the template you created, and I think it gives the data an indication that it really came from actual research, as opposed to most drop frequency indications which seem to be one player on one day got a couple of charms and so changed the text to "common".

Bit of table help... Edit

I was wondering if you could help me out with some table formatting. I think that looks great! I tried to put it there too, but the only way I knew how to do it was <div align="right"></div> which did not work! I'm gonna go ahead and put that in all the other tables, since I am forced to take a break from my previous project: updating a lot of the inventory images to remove shadows and replace .GIF images with .PNG images. Why must I take a break you ask? Take a look at the new inventory sprites for just about every item... it has to be a mistake... it just has to... but I don't know for sure, and I don't want to do a ton of work that I'd have to revert right away. i did click Overwrite existing badge button and save it.

so i clicked "restore all default settings" button.
so then changed all my settings back and saved a new badge.

My signature Edit

Sadly, I don't think my signature is working as it used to. For those who have CSS enabled, it should be colored white, with a randomly-colored glow around the edge. The reason I had had to use a table was because this CSS effect does not work with spans. Looking at my signature now, you will see this is not quite what is happening now. I will look into other ways of creating this effect. The main reason that I was using multiple pages was so that I could have all the parts of the signature the same color even when using the random color template. I will try to set this up with #vardefine instead.

Favorite summoning familiar Edit

Yea I'm bugging you again. I was just randomly reading through your user page, and I noticed that your favorite familiar is the Magpie, cuz you make money without doing a thing. BUT! Did you know that a Fruit bat is even better money? Even though the stuff is worth less than gems, it lasts a lot longer, so you typically wind up with 15k-20k per pouch. Try it out! I'll admit that I have not done any formal studies or anythingg. I just noticed that with a magpie I typically get around 7k per pouch, or since the timer is about half an hour, ~14k an hour. You could do 1 and a quarter fruit bats in that hour, which would net me around 20-25k. Its a pretty primitive study, and I'll be very interested in seeing what your more comprehensive study shows. The seeds are what really make the fruit bat profitable, just a few watermelon and strawberry seeds and you've got 20-30k there. Psycho Robot talk 18:03, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

There is no way you can prove that the 'music skillcape' in the video is one of the cancelled things (or something that 100% will come out). The only way to confirm is that it does come out and proves that it is the 'music skillcape' or whatever. Great, that'll be nice for full sets and whatnot. However immediately after I asked that question, I was struck with another thought: what if in addition to the image of the full set on the right, we had an inventory sprite for each row on the left? I tried it out on my page and it looks great! Thanks for all your help! There are only a couple things I see that could do with a bit of improving, first of which is, when specifying the number of rows, how about we specify the number of items instead, then add 4 rows to that input (2 for the header and 2 for the total at the bottom, although if we do this how would we handle multiple totals?). One last request (until I come up with another) would it be possible to modify the code to include a second image?
