Actually, I wholeheartedly agree with that; scammers and macros don't want to pay for an account that will most likely be banned within no more than two weeks' time. Of course, it's scum like that which give the "good" F2Pers a bad name. Therefore, although your statement is correct, I think it's slightly arbitrary in the favor of the argument that the majority Gielinor's scum is F2P. You also forgot to mention the F2Pers that don't cheat or scam, Members that do, people that change from one to the other once or repeatedly, etc.

That's basically all I can say without involuntarily turning this into a flame war. =] Please respond at The Pug's Page with any responding comments or questions.

Hi! First of all, you were right. And, I'm going to give the whole page a complete make-over. The thing is: I don't see the point of sorting out those random events. I noticed that Forum talk:Index was deleted by the Janitor GHe. GHe's deletion summary was "spam". However, there was only one spam edit made by an anonymous user, who blanked the whole page, which had many discussions on it. I thought I should restore the discussions, so I checked the spammer's checkbox (which I thought would restore every edit except the spam), and clicked "Restore". But for some reason, only the spammer's edit appeared in the page history. I tried again, this time not checking any boxes. This time it worked, so I tried to undo the spammer's edit. It didn't work; the spam filter prevented me from editing the page. It said, "The following text is what triggered our spam filter: forum talk:index". I tried rollbacking the edit instead, it worked that time, but then I couldn't post the topic I wanted to put on the Index talk in the first place because it was again blocked by the spam filter. What is the spam filter, and is there any way to fix it? C Teng ^talk 19:13, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Just a note, C Teng. You only check the boxes of the revisions you want restored. That's why only the spam edit appeared. I'm pretty sure it says it right on the page... Christine 19:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I see now. I don't undelete much; it said to leave all checkboxes empty if you wanted to restore the whole thing, and I guess I didn't notice the second part of the instructions. That still doesn't explain how to fix the spam filter, though.

[edit] Jagex staff accounts on fansites (this fansite, in this case)

I know MMG announced that they will be more involved with fansites, but I don't remember him saying that they would actually have accounts on the sites and participate in their communities, as they did in 2002 or whenever. The line in the policy, "It's also possible that although you do not know it, the editor you're talking to is a player moderator, forum moderator or even a Jagex staff member.", made it sound like they'll have aliases and not mention that they're Jagex staff. If someone came with the username "Mod MMG", it would be obvious that they were either the respective J-Mod or an imposter (hopefully the first scenario). If they used the username "Mark G6659", people might make a connection and remark at the resemblence, but it wouldn't be like "Look! It's Mark Gerhard, Jagex's current CEO!", followed by a forming crowd.

I'm pretty sure they'll be making contact with fansites officially and such, and go by what they're known as. As of now, under no circumstance when by communicating with any other user on this site will you be talking to a Jagex staff member. If/when they were to make contact, arrangements and whatnot with our community, then that line would make sense. Jagex has yet to really acknowledge us, and having that line can be rather misleading. In case you hadn't followed Forum:Rollback:_prove_you_know_when_to_use_it, all future people requesting the Rollback button must first read RuneScape:Rollback_examples and Help:Revert and then sign RuneScape:Rollback_examples/Signed indicating they have done so, to prevent misuse of the tool. Hello, I'd like to know where I could register a complaint about your abuse of power in the clan chat channel. In a discussion about Michael Jackson's death, I said that I found it funny that he died from drug abuse, where the player Dtm142 proceeded to say "Goodbye" and kick me from the channel, angered about my opinion of his death. Funny means the same thing as hilarious. You can't hide behind synonyms to support your agenda. It is not an international tragedy to everyone, and just because your opinion of him does not match others' does not give you the right to abuse your powers in such a way as to impose your will on those people that do not agree with you. Hi Dtm. I would like to request that you remove Rswfan's rollback tools as he has often assumed bad faith and thus has shown that he does not know when to use them. He has misused the tool here, here, here, here and here. There are probably a couple more but this should be more than enough to show that he does not understand that the rollback tool should only be used for obvious vandalism. Cheers. [edit] Crush Weapons

Hey dtm, I had a question, it goes something like this. "I'm at attack level X, and I want to attack a monster that is weak to Crush attacks. Which weapon should I use?" I thought that I would create a page named "Crush Attacks" on which I would create a table of the available weapons, and which one is best at which attack level.

Killr833 keeps deleting this page without giving any idea why he disagrees with it. Can you tell me why this page is a bad idea?
