More slaya stuff, and archiving.

The desert:

1. Shantay pass is 25 gp, and is bought right next to a bank, so that's no reason.
2. The desert is not scary. I thought so at first, but you can walk through it in full armour and you get about 2 damage every few minutes. Ooo, scary. It's like being poisoned - not scary at all. And inside the cave, there is no desert effect.
3. Don't like kalphites? Fine by me.

Archiving; Page-move archiving isn't brilliant since it moves even relatively recent discussions. Like that kalphite one. It's up to you, obviously. But I always leave the last ten or so discussions, personally. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 22:24, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't know shantay passes are so cheap! I thought they were 10K or something. You only take 2 damage every few minutes? Not as bad as I thought, I thought that was more like 10 damage a minute. Also, I find being poisoned very scary. And it's not that I don't like kalphites, I just hate the slayer masters! Thay say "Hey <user> go kill <high number> <usually hard monster> because I say so!". I hate them! I'd PK them if I could!!! >:( Anyways, I was going to make my talk page an archive eventually, so I thought 'Why not do it now?' I geuss I should've thought 'Why not do it now and keep the 5 most recent conversations on my current talk page?' or something. Oh well. What is done is done. Indeed it is. And if/when you do train slayer, believe me, you'll end up preferring 600 steel dragons to 6 bats. And I may have painted an over-rosy picture of the desert...Damage can range from 2-10. But high damage is very rare, and besides, from the pass to the kalphite lair is a brief walk during which you probably won't have time to take damage. BTW, you need a rope. Erm...You evidently don't know much about Slayer. Yes, I would prefer the dragons; 1. you can change them, and 2. the major reason, you don't want to traipse halfway across runescape to get 48 Slayer experience. Traipsing three quarters of the way to get 132,000 Slayer experience, and some good drops to boot, is a lot better. Don't forget, you need to factor in time walking to and from Slayer masters. Guns N' Roses - American Civil War

There was no motion picture in the 1860's, however, there was colour photograph (rarely used). And even so, the motion pictures did not have sound added to them until the late 1920's. So that can't possibly be the real U.S Civil War. Ilyas Talk Contribs00:19, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

There were COLOR photos in the 1860's?! Whoah! I thought those came along in the 1950's! Well, anyway, the video used in the video are battle clips from Lost Battalion (2001 remake, not 1919 original film) and good 'ol S.P.R.. In the first 7 seconds there's a car, a truck, and another truck. They weren't around for another 30-40 years. The song is called "Civil War" and from what I get it's a about a war that involves President Kennidy (Vietnam perhaps?). So this isn't supposed to be passing itself as US Civil War footage or anything. *pant* *pant* Chiafriend12 00:32, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Time Playing

You've really been playing over 3 years? I'm 2 combat levels below you and and i've been playing 4 months i have also 90 total level off you. What were you DOING the first year or so if i'm almost as high as you after 4 months?

I played back when RSC was RS. Then you got 1 xp per damage you did, compared to the 4 xp per damage done now. Also I had dial-up. It lagged a lot so after a month I gave up for 2 months or so. By the end of year one I was level 30. I kept doing that until I got DSL after playing Runescape for nearly 2 years. By the end of year 2 I was level 36, I didn't do much playing that year. By the end of year 3 I was level 39, even less progress that year. But now, at 3 years and 11 months I'm level 66. So overall I don't play much and getting xp was 4 times harder in my first year. I was pretty much the opposite of an RS addict. Chiafriend12 01:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

About your "What I wear as of blahblah" picture

I sound nubbish but what is that grey-colored platebody that you're wearing in your "What I wear as of (some date)." Is it a granite platebody? And how much does it cost?

I dont think you sound "nubbish" (mainly because everyone asks me that). Yes, it's a granite body, and it costs 95K from the store, and 100K-170K from other users. Chiafriend12 18:19, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Price of lobbies in bulk?

I'm still grounded, which means no more RuneScape (15 days left until I'm good to go), which means no more Power-Cooking, which means no Skill Cape by my desired date (My birthday of June 7th.) However, I had a friend tell me that it was still possible to get there if I did nothing, but cook. If you have any uncooked food, like lobbies or swordies, I'll buy all that I can when I get back to RS. I believe in myself that I can get to 99! Who do YOU think should be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii? I'd like to see Plok, Sandslash, and Alucard become definite. (Note: I'M the one who voted for Plok.)

Plok is a clay-made character from a platformer game by the same name. He lives in Polyesta, and hates fleas. Alucard is Dracula's good son in Castlevania. IP edit to your userpage

Regarding this, the IP made an edit to your page, and then Whiplash reverted it, which is why there appears to be no changes to the page. It was only a one-word change, so you probably wouldn't notice it anyway.  AScott00   23:00, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Total Rune

This user named "Total Rune" came along. In my opinion he was a good contributor. One problem though, his mouth was, well, dirty. He cussed a couple times a day. He got a 48 hour block, then a week later, a permanent block.

You can call me V

On 3/19/07 a user named "You can call me V" came and claimed he was God, or something. He vandalized, I think 5 pages before he was perm. blocked. Then he made "You can call me V again" (Lol), vandalized one page, got a perm. block. Then he used 3 different IP addresses. That day was quite hectic!

Other Things that Happened

• Ilyas made Runescape:News and Template:News
• Sacre Fi became an admin
• The off-topic and armoury forums were created

Sysop Rights

User "Chiafriend12" is now a sysop

You now have sysop rights!!! This means that you can rollback easier, block users, protect pages and do a few other things. Some notes

• Do keep an eye on recent changes, watching for potential vandalism attacks
• If you are going to block someone, please show restraint - a lot of people use shared IP addresses, so a block for a day is normally best. Vandals get bored easily, but we need contributors from everywhere =)
• Add the CVU page to your watchlist. If another non-sysop notices vandalism, and updates that page, you should see it and deal appropriately with whoever's causing the damage.
• Finally, keep up the good work - we still need lots of content!! And congratulations again on being sysoped.
