Yes, I do have to protect myslef, because I am a noob protector, and it says in my contract that I have to be a noob and have no weapons, armour or a shield in my bank at any time. -- Carralpha 12:25, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

I read your story that you wrote about being a noob protector. It was very well written! When you said that people suggest things like that on the forums, I then knew that there are more of my kind, and yours, out there. I've actually never seen a person protecting noobs, besides myself, until I noticed your signature: "Carralpha-The cook with the cape/ the noob protector." And about the forums thing, I've actually created posts that say noobs should be treated nicer than they are. It proves the hatred in people, like noob haters. You told me to spread the word so, hopefully, when people see our templates, they will read your noob protector story or will see your category and will become a protector. Still, about no armour or weapons, I've been a noob protector for 5-7 months, or maybe more, and I find it perfectly alright to wear armour and wield weapons. I was given my first set of full steel at level 3 by a fellow noob protector. I guess you could take it into matter that you don't wear any armour or anything but a cape, but to me its the thought that counts! By the way, nice category link! Doesn't mean I ain't a protect. Who said I gotta put my armour in the bank? Or even get rid of it? I wear full Adamant, as of Jan 1st, 2007, and wield Rune weapons. You are a noob protector, even if you don't have a contract. But the thing is, I do have a contract saying that if anyone gives me any weapons or armour, I have to give it to a level 3-10 player. -- Carralpha 09:22, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi ppl I'm a lvl 39 noob and think noob haters are jerks. Of course I try and protect noobs. Funny thing is me and me friends (all between 30-50) whent to the bandit camp and half our group disapeeared then reapeared with reanforcements. We killed bandits till these lvl 77 and 69 archers can and attacked and killed us. What jerks. -- Tahu418 Ps. How do u get a noob protecter contract.

I hope you know that there's actually nothing to report them for. You know, you can't report someone for being annoying, even if you don't like them! All you're doing is encouraging people to get themselves banned by reporting someone and having Jagex get mad at them. Unfortunately, there's not yet a "Report Noob-Hater" option in the "Report Abuse" tab. Until then, there's nothing to report the Haters for. May Guthix curse them, they are just sincere bothers. It's not likely that he was banned for bugging "noobs", instead I'm sure there were other things that he was doing that got him banned. Calling someone a "noob" isn't against RuneScape rules (unfortunately). Using that term is just a very uncreative and weak insult that over time has built up strength. People get upset when they're called a "noob" so the word has some power, but it's really nothing. Sorry, I had to coppy this converstion from my page but I answered on my talk page. I should have responded on yours. You put an image before your name or you could use the template system. If you want to, create a page by the name of "Template:Signatures/Carralpha" and put your sig in it. Then, when you want your sig type {{Signatures/Carralpha}}.
