- Per the above message, you're a machine. Or a bot. Or both. Thanks for styling all those Oct-Dec dates, I wasn't aware of the antique updates, categorizing etc.

[edit] Featured Image Concern
Just a quick thought I had. Not sure if it has already been discussed, however, as the featured images are randomly distributed about and the wiki is well monitored for vandals we shouldn't need to worry to much but in the event a featured image is re-uploaded with a vandal graphic there is still the slight chance for a bit of time it could broadcast across the main page. Might we consider protecting the images in the featured article category and unprotect them in the event a newer versions comes available. I know this issue hasn't happened yet, but hypothetically speaking, it could. 14:05, 17 April 2009 (UTC)- I think just a semi is fine. That way it's odd of being a random vandal are slim and most users would be able to update the version if needed. 15:15, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] second FIMG image
Hey Az, I think I understand what you are trying to do by taking out that second image I put in the FIMG nomination. The reason I used a seperate image instead of just updating the image that was nominated was to avoid a possible edit/revert war. You suggested that I go and update the nominated image, and I went and did that for both the trollweis image and the ancient cavern image. I am concerned that this is going to spark some tension. I would rather be able to put a second similar option in the nomination and let people decide for themselves. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks, Tollerach talk
21:33, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
PS - Plus there is a delay between when you upload the updated image and when the wiki actually shows the change on the page. That would mean that people might see the older version of the image instead of the newer, an issue with time sensitive material such as this.
- This is what I was trying to avoid User_talk:Tollerach#Ancient_Cavern, I think adding a second picuture is not going to be seen as stepping on people's toes.

Hi Azliq. Regarding those watermelons you're selling, I would like to buy them off you. However, I'm only going to become a member in about 4-5 weeks so I'll have to wait till then. I don't suppose you would mind waiting 4-5 weeks to sell your watermelons? I would buy all of them at market price. Is that okay with you? Hope to get a reply soon. [edit] RE: Additional notes about your sig
Thanks kindly! While I was reminded on quite a few occasions, I really couldn't make alot of sense of the instructions on the page that the others provided (I'm really a HTML noob, and I'm kind of bashful to a fault and often don't ask for help when I need it) and really didn't want to implode everything else, so thanks for taking the time and being precise with exactly what I had to do.
Also speaking about sigs, would you mind look at the Featured Image nomination for Gu'Tanoth? For some odd reason, my sig broke there some time after I posted there (it never was like that originally), since the box extends and is covering all text after it (at least, in IE7... not sure about other browsers)... can you see what's wrong with it so that it can be fixed? Actually, looking at the preview here, it looks like the box is broken...? --

[edit] Thanks
Sorry. Seeing it is a archive I see no reason for anybody to ever need to edit again so I've always issued a full protection, but thanks for pointing it out. I have changed the recent protection I did to semi. Perhaps others think the same as I did, so perhaps this is why they too issue a full protection. 20:04, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[edit] Re:RSWP - May edition

I've uploaded a hd version of an image in Template:Featured. Can you adjust the width of that pic in that template to 190px-ish? Thanks =)

The tormented demon in the featured image template gets stretched because it defaults width is 103 instead of 150 px. Should it be like that?

[edit] RE:RuneScape Wiki Post - Water Cooler and Editorials
I have thought about combining the water cooler and editorials sections, but the staff seems to like them being separate, I think the difference between the two is that editorials are more like opinions, and te water cooler has a more neutral standpoint. Maybe they could both be placed on the same page in different sections, what do you think? --Newspaper Jack

[edit] Sitenotice
Nearly everyone in Forum:Sitenotice format supported your idea of having a collapsible wikitable. People expected that it would be hidden on any pages once they clicked [hide] If you do can make a cookie for this [hide] button, then that is what the people want. I think you could already change it right away since there was a big consensus for this idea.
ElfAnurin . 08:11, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Nomination?
Well, I personally feel you should accept. You do an awful lot of great work for the wiki, is active everyday, has a very large amount of knowledge with respect to Wiki Coding, often neutral and after the Consensus draft definitely dedicated. We would be a great benefit to have someone as active and contributing as you on our 'crat team. Would you accept the RfB? 06:57, 29 May 2009 (UTC)- I agree! You have helped the wiki a lot. You are also modest. Few of us wikians wanted to nominated you as UotM, but you turned us down because the UotM is something like "A competition" or being "famous" etc.

- Do we need another crat? If we did then Az would be my first choice among our active sysops. I am just not sure we need one. Also, it seems that crats stop getting involved in discussions all too often. If Az stopped participating in discussions we would lose in a big way.--Degenret01 07:15, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- It's not so much that we need one per say that we need one who will be active in discussions and more so in the community rather than here or there. I think it would be beneficial. 07:20, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think I see dtm on anymore (unless its the time zone differences here) I think azliq would be great for the Yew groves since I see her post on almost every topic there and giving/suggesting great ideas!

Hmmm.. a bureaucrat?
In discussions, I feel that one would be able to contribute more being a normal user, as bureaucrats might be forced to remain neutral. Moreover, I feel that it makes no difference (especially in discussions) being a bureaucrat, an admin, or a normal user. The only perks for promoted users are sysop tools (for admins) and the ability to promote users, and the ability to grant bot status (for crats).
On another note, I recently found out that only crats can change usernames (Extension:Renameuser). However, I've noticed that this feature/extension has not been installed in this wiki. It would helpful for some users wishing to change their usernames, and will solve problems of users having to create another accounts because the earlier username was not suitable, offensive, etc.
To conclude, I decline the nomination, for now. I clearly do not know what are the added responsibilities of being a crat. And, do we really need an additional bureaucrat at the present moment? az talk 07:10, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RSWNP story
Hi Az. Andrew the Ripper sent me a story for the newspaper, which I assume should be put in the July edition of the newspaper. The problem is, template stuff confuses me and I don't know how to change the title template to say "July" instead of "June." And for some reason, when I tried to create the story in the Fan Fiction section, it created it in Interviews instead, and I definitely did not click the Interviews section. Would you mind adding his story to the July edition of the newspaper? The story is here. Thanks.
