Can you please undo my edit on the Prayer article? I tried to undo an edit because prayer isn't 100% needed for barrows, but when I undoed it, most pictures were replaced with "ModifyDeletemove" and when I try to undo it, it just won't. Hi, I would love to use the Rollback tool. It seems much easier for big vandalism than the "undo" tool. I have one small question about it though: it can only rollback edits by one user, and not a whole bunch of different editors, right? Other than that, I think I know how to use it.

It is a semi-automated bot. I'm monitoring the uploads manually. "The process of creating a bot should usually begin with an idea for a bot being discussed by the community." How do we host 3,300+ images? Photobucket? The images are linked from templates, and may be included in the Exchange pages themselves. I'm just continuing where PointyBot left off. Just to clarify, only images for moved/deleted Exchange pages will be deleted.--  az ^talk

In case you hadn't followed Forum:Rollback:_prove_you_know_when_to_use_it, all future people requesting the Rollback button must first read RuneScape:Rollback_examples and Help:Revert and then sign RuneScape:Rollback_examples/Signed indicating they have done so, to prevent misuse of the tool. Hello. The page at RuneScape:Copyrights needs an update since Wikia transferred from a GFDL to the CC-BY-SA license per this discussion. Hi Azaz. Have you noticed a glitch with the editing? I'm not sure what it's caused by (or that it's even a glitch), but I've seen it happen here and here. Two seemingly helpful edits suddenly involve switching links around, which is pretty weird, because I don't really expect a vandal to spend that much time switching the links around manually. I have stopped vandalism before, as you know already as you helped me with some of them. I'd like to continue to do this, as it makes the wiki a better place, and the wiki is a big help to me with facts about the game. If I can help other users get that too, I'd be great. I would not abuse the right, I would use it fairly and counter-act vandalism. This is why I wish for rollback rights.

I went through the RS:AOTM votes a few days ago and found a support vote for the article Lucien: "mybff-----I think Lucien would be great.I did temple of ikov and read about while guthix sleeps, and he sems like an important and great person!" Technically, it was unsigned so I went into history to see who voted and add an {{unsigned|Mybff}}, and instead of User:Mybff making that vote, 99.185.40.86 did. I thought that mybff forgot to log in and that IP was his. A few days later, I asked mybff in-game (he's on my friends list) if he voted in the AOTMs with the "mybff-----..." message and he said yes. So that proves that Mybff is 99.185.40.86.

I looked in 99.185.40.86's contributions and was shocked to see that 4 of 5 of the IP's edits were vandalism to my userpage, reverted by User:Dr5ag2on1. I mentioned this to mybff in-game, listening to his indignant and false excuses about one of our friends playing RuneScape at his house and using the wiki. Of course, that's probably a lie, but feel free to run a check user on mybff and match his IP to that of the userpage vandal 99.185.40.86.

Hi,

We saw that the English RuneScape Wiki (this one) has a very up-to-date Market Watch system. On the Dutch Wiki, we don't have enough contributers to even try this kind of job. I've been asking around a bit, and there is a possibility that the GE Market Watch pages from the English Wiki automatically get impoterted to the Dutch Wiki. Uberfuzzy is currently working on it, and I just thought to tell you here. I don't know if you or the community have any objection to this? We'd greatly appreciate if the community would accept this.

Hi! I've modified a proposal for my hiscores bot (QBot) at Forum:Automatic Hiscore Update. Consensus was achieved for the general idea of the bot and it worked well in testing, but it was stopped due to concerns about the update rate. Shad0w master has been a very suspicious character on the forums. I banned them from the forums for a week after a lot of spam and abuse of the report system but after I saw they said they were returning to the wiki I got to wondering if they might be Shadow Veto again..I ran a CheckUser but since Shadow Veto and Awesomeownage haven't edited for so long I couldn't find their IP addresses to compare. Thanks for the advice and tips when it comes to photos, my friend Windegorn and I (he's the current "Lore Master" so to speak) just needed a quick place while working on our suggestions.In addition to that Windegorn actually just became a member of the wiki and he'd be the one you'd want to tell about the idea of posting theories because currently he's keeping track of all of that. Finally its no problem to update the elven threads as they're my main focus in RuneScape lore. Ohaidere. I was wondering if I could get your help with something concerning the proposed media policy. Its reached a complete standstill in regards to becoming a full policy. I tried reformatting the policy (basically just made it look purty) and I added the Animations guidelines that were discussed on the forum and on the Image Maintenance talk page in an attempt to rekindle discussion and get the ball rolling again, however that didn't do much. Hey, Ive been told that I was to find a B'crat to ask or to apply for the rollback rights. I wish to have it soley because of the amount of times ive seen a vandal edit a page multiple times and the undo feature was never worth using, instead I would need to redo the whole page from copy and pasting. It would be helpful and it is down to your decision, ive read the required pages and I do understand that the rollback rights should only be used for the one purpose of huge vandalism and not for small vandals such as a Grand exchange price change. While I do disagree with your action in regards to User:Mod Cole, I am glad that you did start the thread in Yew Grove about this issue. It is a good time to air this issue out and to get community feedback on the topic.

I certainly don't want to hold you, nor have you to hold me as an enemy. I sincerely appreciate the incredible work that you have done to make some very positive contributions to this wiki and to make things better for everybody. Your work particularly on helping to protect the wiki against vandals and other miscreants that can cause damage to this project has been admirable, and I hold no ill feelings toward you at all.

I wasn't trying to assert that you were acting in bad faith here, but rather trying to give a gentle reminder that we all should assume good faith when possible. Indeed, your action was an act in good faith as well... you did what you thought was best for the project with the understanding of policies and issues impacting this wiki.

I felt I should "report back" so to speak, and after looking at all the riots I have determined that only the Pay to PK Riot is notable enough for its own article. The only other one that was longer than a few paragraphs was the Wilderness Riot, but after applying the same type of editing as I did to the Pay to PK riot, I found that the entire riot could be adequately explained in a much smaller article, once unsourced/unlikely facts and unnecessary details were removed. That sounds good to me! That granularity policy is a real fly in my ointment because people always take it to mean "absolutely anything can have its own article"... glad to see the interpretation is not so broad with most of the sysops and crats. In any case, new business!!! I really think User:SmackBot bot should be blocked. Its incorrectly updating lots of GE pages, such as the Exchange:Dragon pickaxe page twice[2][3] in one day! Smackbot is getting confused because recently the dates in signatures were changed to September 18, for instance, instead of 18 September, as it used to be. I tried contacting the owner, but he seemed pretty nonchalant about it, and didn't do anything. Hi Azaz. I'd just like to clear up some of the confusion I have and ask some questions that I have been meaning to ask for a while now. I believe that you would be best equipped to answer my queries, and I apologise for the trouble.

First of all, is it alright to close a discussion if you are the original proposer (or have voted on the discussion) if there has been unanimous agreement between editors for the proposal to move forward? Also, in a situation like this, when the designated amount of time for the nomination to last is up, and there is no obvious consensus, is it alright to do as I did and leave a notice of intent?

Secondly, if bureaucrats are to remain impartial and fair during discussions, does this mean that they should not/refrain from voting in a discussion? Or does this mean that they may participate in the discussion, but in turn cannot close the discussion? This ties in with my first query.

Thirdly, quoting RS:CONSENSUS#Rough consensus: While there are no magic numbers for "how much is enough", it is generally accepted that rough consensus has been achieved if about 70% agree on the issue. Could you explain how this doesn't violate RS:NOT#DEMOCRACY (Decisions should never be made simply on the basis of majority vote.) I believe I'm missing something crucial here, but I'm not sure what it is. Would a discussion with 80% of voters being supporters and 20% of voters being opposers qualify as a rough consensus if the opposers had valid reasons?

Finally, is there a specific time frame/guideline to how long a proposal on the Yew Grove should last? Does this differ from discussion from discussion depending on its "magnitude"?

There has been some support for the basic concept of making it a feature within the wiki. I didn't even start it, but I have tried to format it in some way that can make it of use to the wiki and to help a relatively new user try to understand the political structure of this site as well.

I don't think it fits RS:PLAYERS as this isn't about specific players at all. This is a top video channel list on YouTube and what Machinima videos have been produced about Runescape. The names on there are the YouTube channel names, although I'll admit that the channel names are the same as some of the player names too that have produced these videos.

If you want to move it, go ahead. I'd rather not have it under my user page, as it isn't really even my content I'm creating here, but I'll watch over it until it gets moved somewhere else or gets put into the wiki in some other format. This is still a page under construction and not necessarily something in its final form. For some reason I think your familiar with the reg wikis policies and stuff and there is a page I was looking for. Something about "disallowed proposals" for things that have been proposed and utterly shot down so thoroughly that no one can re-propose unless they have new reasons or insight or arguments that could influence the discussion. I would like to to start that same thing on the RS wiki, specifically for "not letting IPs edit". I've been trying to upload an image to the RS Wiki, but it keeps giving me the error message "The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. Please check the file and upload again." I'm attempting to work with User:Psycho Robot on a project to improve the DDL article, and he's run out of suggestions as to why I'm getting that error. I've tried uploading as PNG and GIF, to no avail. I can view the pictures perfectly fine on my computer. Psycho thought maybe I was messing up the form, but took a screenie of the form here. Got the reply from the Wikia Staff, and I'll post what they said was wrong so you may know in case someone else has this problem in the future:

"The file you sent me was not a PNG image at all. It was a BMP image.

When saving images in your image editing software, or your browser, you have to make sure you change

the save type, not just type in the ".png" at the end. Just naming a file something does not make it that type of image. Depending on what image VIEWING software you were using to look at it, it may not complain about it, since most software doesnt look at the name of the file, but instead uses the type codes inside the file. So it could have been named anything, and opened just fine, giving you the illusion that it was an "ok" file." Boomer12342 20:28, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
