About me

Hi there, I'm Spineweilder, and I'm a Custodian of the Wiki. I have been a user since 21st December, 2009, and I try to do as much as possible, such as expanding articles, adding images, making animations etc. However taking images and making animations is my profession and passion, and it is what I do on a major basis. I can be often found in the wiki's chat. I started this account because Runescape is my most favourite game, which led to the thought I should help the Runescape Wiki with its articles. Feel free to post on my talk page if there are any issues you'd like to know about.

Career

I first started out as a regular user, correcting spelling errors, adding links, etc. My filemaking career started off in May 2010, where I took an SD image of a Pigeon with an Orb of oculus. I eventually got more adept at orbing, eventually making good quality images several months later.

Eventually I had uploaded so many images without transparency I was prompted to attempt to do so by Joey, and had done my first, although not best, transparency on a detailed image of Pharmakos berries during March 2011.

I attempted much several others, but was not perfect due to the nature of the "fuzzy wand tool" in GIMP. Fergs eventually told me to use 4x Anti-Aliasing on the images I make, but still the transparencies were terrible because I did not use anti-aliasing while applying transparency.

Eventually Joey showed me his transparency video, and I successfully applied an AA trans on a White longsword. Eventually in May 2011 I have already been uploading good quality images with anti-aliasing and transparency included.

One day Coel was babbling "we need more gif makers", and I thought to myself, why not try making animations? So I learnt to create animations from Ryan and created an animation of the activation of an Aura.

Eventually I had been so adept at filemaking I was nominated to become February's UOTM by Flay, with the second most supporters. I was again nominated to become April's UOTM by Grandpa Exor, which was successful.

During the end of August, due to an unsuccessful thread on the Yew Grove, and looking at the comments, I decided to nominate myself for adminship. I put a lot of thought into the nomination, and the request was something I really found shocking - I had a tremendous amount of support from the community. So on September 7th, I became an administrator. I'd like to thank those who supported me :)

I continue to perform image maintenance, and has become one of the more well-known folk in this fantastic community. However due to academics I have been less active, but I continue to check in every now and then.

Spineweilder

This is my one an only account, Spineweilder. My home world is World 39. I will be on World 60 only during Wednesdays (For penguins of course). I watched a friend that played Runescape and started getting interested in it. I then created an account on August, 2007. I was treated very badly, as I had no experience as a player. Then my friend introduced me to the Runescape Wiki, in which helped my a lot of my way to sucess. I became a member the next year in summer because I saw articles that seemed interesting to me. The moment I became a member, I started doing a lot of Quests, sometimes doing up to 8 a day (May be dramatic for some players). Eventually I became a sucessful player. All thanks to the Runescape Wiki.
