[edit] My Story

The character Rowanq25 as he looks now.

In October of 2003, a timid 10 year old created his very first account on RuneScape Classic, after much urging from his friends who claimed it was "better than PlayStation."

The next week, he would then pick a scythe off the ground, which would cause annoyance and headaches years later... though it looked really cool.

The boy would then go several on-off phases of boredom with RuneScape, stunting the growth of the RS character.

In the year of 2006, his account was stolen by a classmate.

It then changed hands an innumerable amount of times.

After the new owner, whoever it was, got bored of it, it remained inactive for two years.

In the year of 2008, after many password recoveries, only one of which was successful, and a cash payment of $14 to Jagex, Rowanq25 returned to RuneScape, his small fortune gone; his previously moderately valuable bank replaced with junk and useless members' items.

Today, that timid boy, now 15, has rebuilt his fortune and reclaimed his beloved scythe.

Today, that timid, annoyed boy is pestered by players at least once a day with questions about his scythe.

Literally. At least once a day.

(that was a hint, by the way, to not ask about my scythe if you ever see me on RS... you'd know what it is anyway if you're a member of RuneScape Wiki!)

[edit] Activities

I usually make my home on RuneScape 46. Nowadays, you can usually find me doing quests, training combat in the Experiment Cave, or killing blue dragons for money. Some days I train other skills. Other days I just explore. One day out of the week I join a penguin hunting chat and go hunt penguins. I pretty much do what I feel like. I'm very ADD in RuneScape and find it hard to focus on doing one thing for an extended period of time. I have private chat set to Friends, but feel free to holler if you see me around.

I will only be a member for the duration of July, 2009. I am going to Japan for a month on July 29th so therefore there would be little point to renewing my membership after I come back, as school would start in roughly two weeks. I will most likely no longer play RuneScape during the school year, but I hope to renew my membership next summer.

  • Become a member. For the third (fourth?) time. Achieved 27th of June, 2009.
    • Complete all started members' quests that have not been completed.
  • Find some way to obtain a Grim reaper hood and Spooky Set. (probability: impossible) Achieved null of Null, null.
  • Gain 5000 charges in Fist of Guthix without fixing game. Achieved 1st of September, 2008.
  • Attempt the God Wars Dungeon before membership ends.
  • Get a whip. Achieved 16th of July, 2009.
  • Complete blue Runecrafter outfit. Achieved 21st of June, 2009.
  • Obtain all Mime emotes.
  • Level 1000 Overall Achieved 13th of August, 2008.
  • Level 60 Woodcutting Achieved 20th of August, 2008.
  • Level 50 Runecrafting Achieved 20th of June, 2009.
  • Level 43 Prayer Achieved 28th of June, 2009.
  • Level 70 Hitpoints Achieved 9th of July, 2009.
  • Level 70 Attack Achieved 9th of July, 2009.
  • Level 90 Combat Achieved 13th of July, 2009.

Minotaurs: They have a very large abundance and are very easy to kill, giving lots of experience per hour.

Lesser demons: They have fairly decent drops and experience and are in fairly close proximity to fishing spot which allows for constant food restocking.

Ice giants: They are fairly easy to kill, have decent drops, and provide good prayer experience with their big bone drop.

Ice giants: As they drop big bones, it's a given. Also, the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon is a less popular giant training spot, so a giant battle is always guaranteed, and they are relatively easy to kill, providing a good training spot for combat as well.

It's also close to Fist of Guthix to restock on runecrafting gloves and tokens if I need to.
Image:Fishing.gifFishingMusa PointFishing is my main source of income, and Musa Point is home to the only cage/harpoon spots in f2p world (aside from the wilderness spots). The Explorer's ring 3 provides free teleport near Draynor for quick banking. I can also have Run always on without ever losing all my energy due to this shortcut, making the process even quicker.

If you're reading this and you're a member, please consider posting any of the ideas below that you agree with in the Suggestions board on the RS forum. (most importantly, the suggestion box idea)

  • Agility should be made an f2p skill.
  • Two-handed swords should be able to be wielded with one hand after attaining a certain strength level.
  • The exercises from the Drill Demon random event should be made into unlockable emotes.
  • The Grand Exchange should be linked across all worlds, f2p, and p2p, to almost guarantee a sale or purchase upon entering it into the GE. I guess it already was
  • Similar to the Withdraw 1, 5, 10, etc. option for the bank, there should be an option for one's items in their inventory... i.e. for burying bones, there would be a Bury 5, 10, All option.
  • In places such as Ice Mountain, where the wind blows on the flags, the wind should affect one's cape and hair as well.
  • Repairing/blessing someone's gravestone should give prayer experience.
  • Why are there seriously no fire runecrafting gloves?
  • All messages said with QuickChat should have the QuickChat icon next to them, as some people often fake QC messages to lie.
  • A suggestion box seriously needs to be put on the site, for both free players and members.
  • One should be able to choose page themes for the RuneScape main page, ranging from the hunter and summoning special pages to the old layouts from RSC entirely.
  • One should also be able to choose a design for their login page.
  • The different login page themes should loop after the main theme.
  • Slayer should affect combat level in a similar manner to Prayer and Summoning.
  • When wearing the Ring of Charos there should be a right-click "Charm" option to save the player from having to go through dialogue in order to get the ring's benefits.
