As seems to be common here, my username here is the same as on RuneScape. I'm a bit of a meelee pure, but due to my practice of incremental levelling I'm trying to level my ranged. And spending more time swearing at the monitor that I am actually hitting a target.

I've also been struggling a little with my fishing and mining, for the simple reason that coal is so hard to find before level 70, and lobsters take too long. I'm usually timing out my login before I've even caught anything. And don't start me on random events...

As I said above, I practice incremental levelling. Incremental levelling is where you level all skills in increments of 25, but only level skills you consider highly worthwhile to 99. For example, I'll probably level everything to 75, but I'll only level Mining, Smithing, Crafting, Ranged, Magic, Attack, Defence, Strength, Fishing and Woodcutting to 99. The only skill you don't actively level is Hitpoints, and that's because it is raised by combat, and by the time you get your combat skills to 99, you should have 99 hitpoints.

I'm currently considering running a campaign to request better support for CRT monitors with low brightness and contrast. It REALLY kills your eyes to strain to see a path on a dark area of a map, and not everyone can afford an LCD screen. But, unless I get support, I'll just stick to sending weekly requests to Jagex through their tech support thing.
