These 2008 elections have helped open my eyes to a good few problems in the good old USA. I've noticed so many people are followers and lack individuality - something so many of us cherish and hold dear.

What is one of the best ways to advertise a product, or for that matter, yourself? Advertising. The absolute Best advertising out there is the media. Most specifically the news. News companies/corporations aren't owned by the government (a good thing). The downside of this is they can legally be biased. So, what I've noticed is that the prime candidates in an election are the ones who get the most media coverage.

Another thing is how religiously people follow their chosen political party. If someone is part of the Democratic party, they are taught that Republican values are "bad" and will hardly even listen to them. The same goes for the GOP (Republicans), and for almost any other party. We are supposed to do our own research and draw our own conclusions about things. We aren't supposed to just do what a group of people tell us to do. A Democracy is a form of government that is lead by 'the people'. When the people can't think for themselves and only do what a group of other people tell them to do (at least when it comes to voting), then the country comes under control of "the man", or in this case, men. Whichever group is the most powerful controls the government. They do this by choosing someone to run under their banner, and they typically choose the candidate who's beliefs align best with theirs.

So what exactly does this mean? Read these:

Do you agree entirely with both of them? If you really want to vote for someone whose beliefs align with yours, you're probably best off not blindly voting for whoever your chosen party picks 'for' you. You want to look at the candidates and do the research yourself. You might just be surprised. Look at different candidates and their positions (wikipedia tends to be unbiased, but it's still good to use different sources), accept, research, and either agree with or counter criticisms against your preferred candidate, and then VOTE FOR HIM. Voting for a Rep or Dem candidate just because you know your man isn't going to make it is what they want you to do. Not voting at all for the same reason is why only half of the eligible voters in the USA voted in the 2004 elections.

So I was just cruising around youtube, and watched a video a guy made of him having a fake drop party and a mod showing up and "ruining" his retarded fun. I looked closely at the mod's outfit, looked at her level, and looked at when the video was made... the mod was me on Velvetgirl01 O_o
