[edit] Goals

[edit] Current

[edit] Thieving

I currently have 78 Thieving and I have decided to go for 99 Thieving. I am currently splitting my training between Pyramid Plunder and the Wall safes in the Rogue's Den. For faster levels, I'll do Pyramid Plunder. For gems to train Crafting and Magic, I'll do the safes.

[edit] Construction

I currently have 84 Construction. I plan on getting it to 85 Construction in the not too distant future and eventually 99.

Recently, I remodeled the zig zagging, discombobulated rooms and made my Player-owned house [1] more "livable." I used the Runescape Wiki House Planner to remodel. It was a huge help and saved me a lot of money. I wish I had known about it before. I lost count of how much money I spent building and rebuilding parts of my house to get them just right.

My future plans include planning and finishing the Dungeon and working toward getting Stained Glass windows in my Chapel. Getting those Stained Glass windows and the Chapel were the main reasons I started training such an expensive skill as Construction. I got the Stained Glass windows now. My Mahogany eagle lecturn helps pay for training Construction now though. I have made countless Magic tablets of all kinds to pay for various things I want both for the Construction skill and various other odds and ends.

[edit] Past

[edit] Agility

From the very first day that I became a P2P player, I wanted to get 99 Agility. The training was very boring though, so I pushed that goal off for a while. Also, this was before the Rest option was added. While training other skills, I noticed that I could not keep my energy up. So, I broke down and started running the agility courses until I got to 99 Agility.

[edit] How I did it:

  • (Levels 1 - 52)

I trained at whatever courses I had to train until I could do the Wilderness Agility Course. I did it in order and switched to the next available course as soon as I reached the next lvl where I could.

  • (Levels 52 - 75)*

I stayed on the Wilderness Agility Course until I could train at the Ape Atoll Agility Course without failing (at lvl 75).

  • (Levels 75 - 85)

I trained at Ape Atoll(World 46), but still broke off and trained back in the Wilderness Agility Course from time to time just for fun. I enjoyed my time at Ape Atoll Agility Course in World 46, because of how cool the people are (not the course itself), but I still needed more XP to get to 99 sooner. The Wilderness Agility Course is still my favorite mostly because I love the surroundings up there, (except Revenants) and the course itself is easier to get through (less clicks and less obstacles). It is very peaceful and quiet up there until the Revenants show up. :\

So, on days when I had time to socialize, I trained at the Ape Atoll Agility Course in World 46 and on days when I had too much other stuff to do IRL (lots of logging out and back in, no real time for conversation), I trained at the Wilderness Agility Course.

  • (Levels 85 - 99)

I read that you could get more experience per hour at the Dorgesh-Kaan Agility Course, but that you did fail there. So, I tried it. I did fail some, but not nearly enough to even need food. So, I stayed there and kept training. I alternated between the long and short course to get some Ranged XP while I was at it.

I liked it down there. So, I stayed at Dorgesh-Kaan until I got 99 Agility. The only times I left while going for 99 Agility (from lvl 85 until 99) was to do my daily rounds to get the 2 GP Seaweed and Pineapples in Catherby, the free Flax in Seers' Village(Seers' headband 3), the 64 Battlestaves at Zaff's Superior Staves in Varrock using(Varrock armour 3) and to do Manage Thy Kingdom. I do each of those daily even now.

[edit] My Notes on the Wilderness Agility Course

I have had a lot of people ask me about Revenants and the Wilderness Agility Course. Most people say they do not want to train in high lvl Wilderness because of Revenants. There is a trick to it though. It is not a glitch nor is it against the rules. It is just a common sense approach using knowledge of the area.

There are times when some Revenants will get you anyhow and maybe even poison you or kill you. It's not the end of the world if you go prepared.

[edit] A Couple of Rules To Remember
  1. don't carry anything you aren't prepared to lose in high lvl Wildy. That is simply one of the main rules of the Wildy. Whether during pre-Revenant era (the Pking era) of the Wildy or in its current incarnation(no PKing/Revenants), you just don't carry anything you consider too valuable or irreplaceable.
  2. Look at death on the Wilderness Agility Course as a chance to restock on cakes and get another Antipot.

[edit] How to Survive Longer at the Wilderness Agility Course
  1. Equip a DDP++ (Dragon Dagger Poisoned with Super strong weapon poison)
  2. Equip one(1) of any weight-reducing clothing you have (Spotted cape, Spottier cape, Penance gloves, etc.) The reason you only equip one is to follow the three (3) items kept on death rule in the safest way possible. If you only have your DDP++ and one weight reducing item (other than Boots of Lightness, because you always lose them on death) equipped, you'll keep those on death. It makes re-equipping and going right back much easier.
  3. Carry one(1) vial of Antipoison(4) in your first inventory slot.
  4. Steal Cakes in the Ardougne Bakery Stalls until you fill the other 27 slots in your inventory. Drop the Bread and the Chocolate slices, because the regular full Cakes will last longer while training.
  5. Once you have stolen a load of Cakes in Ardougne, walk, don't run to the Lever in West Ardougne. This saves Energy for the mad dash from the Lever in high level Wilderness to the Wilderness Agility Course. With the new Rest option, this may not still apply. (The Rest option was not available until a few of weeks after I got 99 Agility. :/) If you do run to the Lever though, rest before pulling it until you have full energy.
  6. The mad dash to the Wilderness Agility Course, aka the fun part. 0.o Once you have pulled the lever and are in high level Wildy at the Lever, reposition your camera to eye level using your arrow keys. Walk until you are close to the web and look around for Revenants. If you see any, world hop. Once you are in the clear, RUN all the way to the Wilderness Agility Course. If your level is still not high enough and you cannot make it all the way, stop at the webs outside the Mage Arena Bank, slash the webs, and get behind them. Rest until you can run the rest of the way to the Wilderness Agility Course.
  7. Once you reach the Wilderness Agility Course, go inside the gate and look around for Revenants. If you see any in the first area after entering the gate, quickly go through the pipe. If they spotted you, they'll come over and wait for you to go through the rest of the course. Use your obstacles. If you can get an obstacle, like the pipe, between you and them, you'll survive longer. If they did spot you, get the pipe between you and them and world hop after the "You cannot log out until 10 Seconds After Combat" time is up. If they didn't spot you, wait and watch for the Revenants to go. Eventually, they will and then, you can start running laps around the course.
  8. More about Revenants: Once inside the Wilderness Agility Course, there are two main areas where you will be in danger from revenants. The first spot, and the hardest to maneuver, is the top of the hill just as you finish a lap. Revenant vampires, especially, like to stand there and wait for you. If that happens, quickly make way for the pipe, get it between you and them and either log out or run down the ladder leading to the Underground area to hide from them for a few minutes. The second spot is just after you have gone through the pipe. Revenant orks really love that spot best, it seems. Run for the ladder, go down the ladder and stand behind the ladder (between the ladder and the wall). Going down the ladder gets you away from most of the Revenants you will encounter up there and standing behind the ladder will keep the skeletons downstairs from attacking you (because they cannot reach you behind the ladder).

[edit] The Aftermath: Having 99 Agility

Since getting 99 Agility, I have noticed a huge improvement when training all other skills. It is my only 99 skill, currently. I prefer the look of the Untrimmed Agility Skill Cape, but eventually, that will change.

[edit] Future

[edit] Smithing

I have 90 Smithing right now. My main goal since I was a F2P player has been to get 99 Smithing. I have decided to train some other skills to help with that goal and to keep it fun. Smithing is my favorite skill to train and I want to keep it that way.

[edit] Ranged

Currently, I have 88 Ranged. In the future, I would like to continue training Ranged all the way to 99.
