Frankly, I think UnRuneScape Wiki was never given a fair go by users of this community. It was derided by users from the minute Whiplash suggested it. Sure, it attracted the wrong sorts of people who were arguably immature, but really, I think it had potential, and I always thought it did, because that's why I did my best to try and improve its content. Dedicated users from this wiki who were established users there as well tried to help it back up onto its feet, but it was never properly 'fixed', and the least encouraging of all was the lack of support from this community. It was almost like a "let's hate UnRuneScape Wiki" bandwagon, and that's what was really the worst part of it: people just weren't willing to give it a chance. If you don't think that's specifically the case, look at its removal from sister sites of RuneScape Wiki, and the opinions of those who suggested it. Regardless of the desire for official declaration of association with Jagex, who made a game we've all played at some time or another and the reason why most of us are here, UnRuneScape Wiki was more than a mere chuckle or disposable toilet humour to those who tried to make it a respectable and humourous wiki, and in my opinion, it had unrealised potential and was sorely underrated. Compare to its disassociation with the "UnFunOrb Wiki". Either way, life needs a bit of a humour, because being serious all the time is a real drag.
