It was my son who told me about Runescape.
The first time I played was in February 2008 as a free member. I liked it very much, but as a free player you are limited. That's why I became a member in March 2008.
It's now April 8th and I have a total level of 828. The first levels came very fast, but now it's starting to slow down. On the other hand now that several of my skills are around 30 or up, I'm starting to play more quests and so I discover every time new places and items, which makes the game very interesting.
In the beginning I didn't know what I had to do first, so I did a little bit of everything. Then I started to concentrate on mining and fighting. I used the ores to make some money.
After a while I was getting tired of running around all the time. So with the money I had made from Mining, I bought a lot of runes and started to use magic. I did that because I wanted to be able to teleport to Varrock, Falador and Lumbridge, so I could save a lot of time. I wanted that because when you're playing the quests, you're losing a lot of time with running from one place to another.
After I became a member I fought a lot, because I wanted to be able to wear and use dragon armour and weapons. Now that I have reached levels 60 in Attack, Strenght and Defence, I'm starting to concentrade on other skills, so I'll be able to execute the quests. Some skills are harder to develop than other or maybe I haven't found the right way to do it. Every time I play, I learn new things. Also by talking to other players I learned new stuff.
April 27th 2008 total level is now 1,011.
May 7th 2008, in the hiscores ranking overall I'm 762,605th with 1,051 levels and 4,507,458 XP.
May 22nd 2008, ranking overall 619,624th, level 1,129 and 5,793,093 XP. I'm making nice progress, but I'll never be number 1. I think these guys play 24 hours 7 days a week. :)
June 4th 2008, this week I started to train my hunting skill. At first I thought it would be a hard skill to train, but after only four days I'm already at level 51 and I've only been playing a couple of hours a day. First I started by killing Polar Kebbit, not much XP, but good money for the fur. Later on I started killing Swamp lizard, good XP and good money, they are worth 1,400 GP if you get them sold. Now I'm killing Prickly Kebbit, you get 204 XP per kill. From the Kebbit spike you can make Kebbit bolts, so you don't have to run to a bank. In one hour I kill between 100 and 120 kebbit, so I get more than 20,000 XP a hour. Today my ranking is 524,181th at level 1,191 and 6,657,871 XP.
June 16th 2008, this week I'm concentrating on training my slayer skill. The adventage when you train slayer, is that you also train your combat skills. My slayer skill is now 47. I'm still going to training that skill, but meanwhile I'm also training fishing and cooking. I need the food when I'm executing my slayer missions. Sometimes when I get borred of doing the same thing minute after minute, I do something else like mining or anything else. Today my ranking is 471,271th with a total level of 1,231 and 7,551,632 XP. Last week I started training the skills under level 30. One of my next goals is to get in the Hi score of all the skills. Now summoning and construction are above 30 and I also mananged to get my fletching in the Hi-score list. I still have 3 skills which aren't in the Hi-score. Farming, for the moment I have level 24, so it won't be to hard to get it to 30. The other two are Ranged and Woodcutting. At Ranged I have a level of 54 and I need to get it up to 59 or 60 to get in the ranking, but I don't really like ranged, I prefer to fight with my Abyssal whip. To get in the ranking for Woodcutting you have to be at least level 66. For the time being I'm level 64, so I'm getting closer. I just bought the Dragon hatchet, so maybe it will get easier, I hope so :). Today is June 27th 2008, my ranking is 379,099th with 1,305 levels and 8,322,994 XP.

Today is november 7th 2008. Last week (november 1th 2008) I got my first skill cape, fletching. A couple of months ago I decided I wanted a skill cape. I looked around to see which was the easiest to train and still make some money. In september I started training Fletching. At that time I was level 60. In 6 weeks I got to 99 and made a couple million GP. I made yew longbow by buying yew logs and bow strings. After I made the bows I sold them at the GE, making around 40 GP profit per bow. For the moment I'm combat level 107. My total level is 1,578, I have 34,252,048 XP with a ranking of 165,919th.

On 13th of July 2009 I already have 6 capes: fletching (November 08), strength (January 09), attack (April 09), hitpoints (June 09), defence (June 09) and cooking (July 09).
Today I have a total level of 1807 and a total XP of 97,990,178, with this I'm ranked 81,199th. My combat level is 131. Not bad for only 16 months of RS.
