Welcome mighty gamer.

We are more than happy for our fans to make their own RuneScape fan-page as long as:

• Only images found in the http://www.runescape.com/aff/runescape/rsimages.zip are used on the fan-site and

• You agree that all rights, including copyright and database right, in the RuneScape and Jagex websites and their contents, are owned by Jagex Ltd, or otherwise used by Jagex as permitted by applicable law.

• You agree that we retain copyright ownership and the right of approval in advance of you using any copyrighted material. We also retain the right to request anyone to remove the material.

Unfortunately the first rule means that yiou cannot use screenshots of the game on your site.

For further information we would ask you to read the Fan site FAQ by selecting the link titled 'Get the answer to a question', which can be found under the 'Information and Advice' section (left) on the main page of our website (www.runescape.com) and then selecting the Fan Site option from the resulting page.

On 1st November 2005, you sent us the following:

I am a frequent visiter and editer to a Runescape Wiki (http://runescape.wikicities.com/), and I was wondering if it would be permissible to screen-shot the game window and cut out the part needed to create a picture for an article. For example, if I needed a picture of a chicken, I would screen-shot the game when there's a chicken nearby and copy the part with the chicken. Thanks.
