Dr Irukandji: do you get the new look if you have done the elite task for that item, or is it necessary to finish all elite tasks before you get this awesome looking kit? Answer: Each diary has an elite piece of kit, just as each has a hard piece of kit, it works in exactly the same way as the existing pieces. (Obviously Lumbridge is hard instead of elite...) Vampire Apey: are you guys planning on requiring the completion of a certain elite diary for an quest requirement in the future? like how we needed the fremnik boots 3 to complete the blood runs deep quest? Answer: Planning to? At the moment no. However that doesn't mean it won't happen. Pepper Bifh: Are you going to design them (legs) so they kind of fit in with the Hard diary outfit? Are you going to design the diary outfits so we can have it look ok if you have all the items in Hard? Answer: See the blog for the first question and the second, no, no changes have been made to the hard kit existing visuals. Vornollo: will the Explorer Ring from the Lumbridge & Draynor Diary have an elite version too? and will it be able to complete as a F2P player? Answer: Lumbridge is unlikely to have an elite tier. Mainly as there isn't that much to do in Lumbridge which is that high level. Yes, the hard level we are introducing is F2P like the rest of the Lumbridge Diary. Jonny Kahits: Will the enhanced Excalibur look good alongside this set? As weapons go, it's the closest one to being the achievement diary weapon. Answer: I think it does.... but get the kit and see for yourself. Like you say though, technically Excalibur isn't the Achievement Diary weapon. Wacky Herb: with elite tasks come with some high lvls my question will be allowed to boots skill like ardy elite tasks?? Answer: Boosts should be able to be used in most cases, yes. There are some specific cases where the task is already configured not to use boosts but not many of them. As with all previous diaries, Assisting doesn't work, you have to do your own tasks! Many people: Graphical look isn't as good as concept art, why? Answer: See Mod Alec's response on page 8. Also, bear in mind that concept art is drawn on a much larger scale than we ever see kit in the game. Many people: Can we keep the hard look armour? Answer: Only if you don't claim the Elite rewards. Many people: We should have different colour options. Answer: For a specific piece and set of kit like this, that's very time consuming to code and test. If it's just one item, it's easy, like with the recent recolouring of various items - just create a new item of a different colour, and duplicate all its code. With a kit... if you're wearing the green legs and the red top, it's still got to act like a set as when you wear the blue top and the black legs... the combinations rapidly get exponential and the amount of code gets silly. It's entirely possible, would just take an age to code and test... and I'd rather get this content out to you as you've been waiting long enough! I will see if it can be done in the future, but no promises. Some people: Has the pic on the dev blog been changed? Answer: No. Some people: Will we have to get a slayer task assigned for the slayer based task? Answer: Just like all diary tasks after Karamja, we don't include random possibilities in our tasks (I learned my lesson from putting the gout tuber in there!) Fuzzy Dragon: Just one question, will there be a weapon or amulet? Answer: Not with this update, we'd need a new diary for those. Summon Luke: could that be a graphical update for the future? Are you guys going to consider changing how they look later on? or is this it? Answer: We're ALWAYS updating things in the game, tweaking how stuff looks and doing graphical reworks... there's no reason why this kit wouldn't be exempt from our normal practise. Musketiers9: so.. tel me if i'm wrong... this is going to be f2p? Answer: Lumbridge Hard diary will be F2P, the others members. Many people: I'm really excited about Elite Diaries! Answer: Good!
