The TzHaar-Ket is an inhabitant of the TzHaar City. All of them can be found wielding a Tzhaar-ket-om. Some will have nothing with it, some wield three Tzhaar-ket-em to accompany, or a Toktz-ket-xil.
TzHaar-Ket have a max hit of 300 life points, which could cause problems for players with low Defence, although it is rare to see them hit over 200. Protect from Melee is recommended for lower level players. Despite their higher level, they tend to miss a lot more than the weaker TzHaar-Xil. Prior to the successful deployment of ClusterFlutterer, these creatures were killed often, primarily by bots, and so it was very hard to find a world without competition. The strategy page has more detailed information on fighting them. In addition, players can go into the Fight Caves and die to fully heal themselves and recharge Prayer and Summoning points. They are more popular to kill than TzHaar-Xil despite their higher defence, due to having both more lifepoints and more valuable Obsidian item drops.
TzHaar-Ket can be killed as part of the Slayer task set by Kuradal. The player has a choice whether to do the task as normal or to change it to Volcanic Creatures, which are the creatures in the Fight Caves. Changing the task requires the player to kill TzTok-Jad. As a reward there is a bonus amount of Slayer experience.
Warning: Note that if you are a low leveled player coming to fight Tzhaar-Hurs, make sure that no Tzhaar-Kets or Tzhaar-Xils are near, as they will try to protect the Tzhaar-Hurs by trying to kill you. If you are level 95+, you should be able to fight these monsters with little or no food.

Trivia
Edit
- Tzhaar-Kets are neutral units in Armies of Gielinor. This shows that they participated in the God Wars, but it is unknown who they would be fighting for.
- In the Guthix Campaign of Armies of Gielinor, there are some special TzHaar-Kets called Flame Keepers. It is seen they work for Flametongue, a three-headed dragon like the King Black Dragon.
- These monsters' default action is to attack, no matter what your combat level is. It is unknown whether this was meant to be implemented or simply a glitch.
