Tyras helm picture

The Tyras helm is a members only piece of headwear. To wear one, the player must have at least 5 Defence. Whilst it bears resemblance to a steel medium helmet, it has lower bonuses than an iron helm. To obtain a Tyras helm, the player can either buy one from Trader Stan's Trading Post or from another player. The helm cannot be smithed.

When this helm was first released, along with the Trader Stan's Trading Post update, they were in great demand, going for many times their value. The price dropped only a few days after the release. This was because although it at first appeared new and exciting, it quickly became seen as inferior to many other helmets.

GlitchesEdit

  • There is a graphical glitch where the back part of the helmet goes through the player's back.

TriviaEdit

  • The Tyras helm is often worn with a Red soul wars cape, a Fremennik shield OR Fremennik round shield, a spear/javelin, and either excalibur, or a leaf bladed sword with Varrock armour 1 or clothing that matches skin colour to resemble a Spartan soldier from Ancient Greece, and has also been widely used for RuneScape reenactments of the film 300 on YouTube.
