Tyras guards can be found at the Tyras camp in Tirannwn. The Tyras Guard uses a Halberd as a weapon, therefore a player can be attacked either next to the Guard or one square away. A Tyras Guard is fought during the Regicide quest.

StrategyEdit

A Tyras Guard can hit up to 157 and though there are a few "safe spots", his halberd can reach over most of them, so food and/or protect from melee are strongly advised. Magic or ancient magicks can be dangerous to use because most robes have low defence and there is a lack of safe spots, but it has proven to be effective. If using ancient magicks, the player can attack with ice spells so the Guard cannot move, providing decent experience because of his weakness to mage, with no danger to the player.

TriviaEdit

While the guards near Port Tyras haven't had their chatface updated, the guards in the camp have. This has been fixed.
The guards use their halberds as crushing weapons (like battlestaves) even though halberds do not use the crushing attack style. They also attack faster with their halberds than players can.
They do not drop the Tyras helm.
