Truth serum is a special potion obtained during The Hand in the Sand quest. Players make it by using a rose-tinted lens on the unfinished truth serum potion on the counter in Betty's Magic Emporium.
During the While Guthix Sleeps quest, a truth serum is obtained by talking with Betty. When combined with an enriched snapdragon, the serum becomes a super truth serum, which is used to interrogate a captured spy in the While Guthix Sleeps quest. When this item was released, the examine information said, "This item is for The Hand in the Sand quest." This has since been changed.
