For the Trial Announcer from New Varrock, see Trial announcer (New Varrock).

Trial Announcers are men who stand in major cities across Gielinor while announcing trials as a part of Botany Bay. They can teleport players to the courtroom within Botany Bay. One stands by the entrance of the eastern Falador bank, one stands outside Varrock's east bank, one stands at the entrance of to the Grand Exchange, and another stands at the entrance of the Edgeville bank. Also, one is on the East Ardougne square.

A trial announcer will also tell the names of any bots that are currently on trial in the player's current world. When a bot is currently held on trial by the General, text will appear over the Trial announcer every few seconds saying "The trial of [bot name] is underway!".

Trial announcers can replace the lost pitchfork of vigilantism and the pitchfork of justice once the player has obtained them.

When asked who he is, he replies that his identity is unimportant and that all a player needs to know is that he works for the Botfinder General - Mathew Hopscotch. He doesn't tell the player how the Botfinder General can tell which player is a bot but tells the player the fact that he is always right on his judgment.

In Dimension of Disaster: Defender of Varrock, the one in New Varrock is used to obtain a Tin soldier head, likely from one of the bots that were set on trial. This trial announcer, named Craig Forrester, is in charge of Bot Wars, a bot gladiatorial competition.
