Starting the Event[]

Talking to Foreman George[]

  • Foreman George: Hello there! Have you come to lend us a hand?
  • Player: What's going on here?
  • Foreman George: What's going on?
  • Foreman George: The war between Saradomin and Zamorak has left Lumbridge in a sorry state.
  • Foreman George: But we're not letting adversity get us down! Now this war's over, we're rebuilding homes for those who were left homeless. We're not going to leave Lumbridge in ruins.
  • Foreman George: Together, we're going to fix it and we're not going to take a break until we're doing! Welcome to the first ever Rebuildathon!
  • Player: How are you going to do that?
  • Foreman George: Skilled artisans from all manner of trades are banding together to get these buildings off the ground. We're doing the work for free, as a way to show them gods we ain't gonna be put down by their antics.
  • Foreman George: But to build, we need resources. Stones, beams, planks and so on. That's where adventurers like you can help.
  • Foreman George: You can reclaim the items we need from the rubble lying around, or from the camps left behind by the gods. At any one time, we'll need one or two types of resources. Just ask me which if you're not sure.
  • Foreman George: Collect the building materials from around the area and bring them back here. I'll put them to good use immediately!
  • Foreman George: And that's it! Now if it turns out you've collected something we don't need at the moment, everything's not lost. We have stacks of resources in the crater for that very reason.
  • Foreman George: Just deposit what you've collected there to store, so you can bring it to us when we do need it!
  • Foreman George: Now that you know the gist of it, do you want to lend a hand? We won't let you get yourself dirty. All helpers get a special complimentary apron!
    • Yes, I'll help out!
      • Foreman George: That's my lad/girl! Here, take this apron and get stuck in!
    • No, it doesn't sound like my kind of thing.

During RuneFest 3[]

Talking to Foreman George[]

  • Foreman George: Today is a special day! Today, we build a memorial to the fallen of Lumbridge. For this Builder Bob will need lots of stones.
  • Foreman George: He should turn up next to the memorial tent later if he's not there already. Helping us build the memorial allows you to collect extra contribution, but it's just for today!
  • Foreman George: And most importantly, if we do not finish the memorial today, then it will never be finished. Please bring stones to Builder Bob next to the memorial tent!

During the Event[]

Checking resources[]

If you do not have the required resources with you at the moment

  • Foreman George: Sorry, but it doesn't look like you've got any of the resources we need at the moment. If you bear with me a second, I can tell you what we need right now.
    • Stones and mortar
      • Foreman George: We need stones and mortar. You can find stones in the poles of rubble lying around the castle walls and the various houses.

Calling out resources[]

If stones and mortar are required

  • Foreman George: We need stones and buckets of mortar in the mixer!

Collecting resources[]

  • You take as many resources as you can.

Completing the Event[]

Talking to Foreman George[]

  • Foreman George: I can't believe it!
  • Foreman George: We're finally done! We've rebuilt it all!
  • Foreman George: Tell you what - if you still want to help for more rewards, go and hunt for more resources and place them on the stacks in the crater. We'll use them for our next building project.
    • Where can I find resources?
      • Foreman George: There's a variety of stuff we'll be needing. If you can't find resources nearby, it's possible that they have already been collected. Just go a bit further afield and you may be lucky. As long as the war camps aren't completely dismantled, there will probably be more resources to reclaim there.
      • Foreman George: And if you're short on bag space, there's a bank up at the combat academy.
        • Stones and rubble.
          • Foreman George: You'll find stones in the debris of fallen walls. There are some lying around the castle to the south, and the houses we're working on. Rubble that we can't use - or that we clear from the houses - we'll hand you here to carry down to the crater.
        • Planks and beams.
          • Foreman George: Planks and beams are reclaimed from the barricades aroudn the war camps. The spikes are a particularly good source of beams.
        • Mortar and plaster.
          • Foreman George: Mortar and plaster are made by adding buckets of water to the mixing trough near Hank. You can buy buckets in the local store and fill them at any fountain, or other water source.
        • Straw and fabric.
          • Foreman George: We make thatching straw from wheat, which you can collect from wheat fields - there's one a short run to the north of here. Fabric can be reclaimed from the tents found in the war camps.
        • Nothing else, thanks.
    • I'd like to see the rewards on offer.
      • (Rebuildathon Rewards opens)
    • Who are you?
      • Foreman George: My name's George, and I'm the foreman. I'm in charge of organising the supply of building materials as well as organising the tradesmen who do the construction.
      • Foreman George: You can call me George.
      • Player: Is your name just...George?
      • Foreman George: What a question! Is your name just Player?
      • Player: Er...
      • Foreman George: Well, there you go. No need to grill me about it.
    • What happened to Hallowe'en?
      • Foreman George: The war has impacted a lot of people around here and they're not really feeling like going around scaring each other when they've seen the realities and horrors of war at their door.
      • Foreman George: I can't blame them. I do want to give them something to look forward to, though. By rebuilding their town, we give them a bit of comfort and normality.
      • Foreman George: And it's not to say we can't have fun in the process! I wouldn't have chosen this line of work if I didn't enjoy it.
      • Foreman George: This said, if you really miss Hallowe'en, I could try and remind you of past events.
      • Foreman George mimes a few spooky things.
      • Foreman George: Hope that helped, but if nothing happened, your memory didn't need refreshing!
    • I've lost my apron.
      • Foreman George: Ah, yes, someone brought it back to us. Would you like it back?
        • Yes
          • Foreman George: There you go!
          • Foreman George: Anything else?
        • No
          • Foreman George: Anything else?
