In Lletya (as Kelyn) Edit

Before starting Mourning's Ends Part I Edit

After starting Mourning's Ends Part I, before Plague's End Edit

  • Player: Hello.
  • Kelyn: Huh... Oh sorry, you made me jump. I was miles away, day dreaming.
  • Player: About what may I ask?
  • Kelyn: I was thinking about the crystal spires of Prifddinas.
  • Player: It must be beautiful, I've only seen the city walls.
  • Kelyn: I have never been myself, some of my friends have though. I only know of the stories told by the elders.

In Prifddinas (as Lady Ithell) Edit

After Plague's End Edit

  • Lady Ithell: It's wonderful, isn't it? The crystal spires of Prifddinas...it's more beautiful than I could've dreamed. The stories didn't do it justice.
    • Ask about Lady Ithell and her clan...
      • Ask about Lady Ithell...
        • Player: Can you tell me about yourself?
        • Lady Ithell: Have you forgotten me already? I used to live in Lletya. I was just a day-dreaming young elf, with no idea of the destiny that awaited me. You built a statue of the former Lady Ithell, and when I gazed at her beauty, it spoke to me. I felt Lady Ithell's memories enter my mind. The crystal spires...the delicate harmonies...the recreation of those harmonies in wood! I saw how she did it, I gained her knowledge, and I became the new Lady Ithell.
          • What happened with you and the statue?
            • Lady Ithell: The Riddle of the Lost Elders was literally true - Lady Ithell put her soul into her greatest work. She took part of her soul - the essential truths about who she was, and what made her Lady Ithell - and encoded them in the statue plans you found around Lletya. I'm a member of Clan Ithell, with a love of architecture. When I saw the statue, that soul spoke to me...I mean, spoke in the same way a work of art speaks to someone who looks at it. I gained the essential knowledge of the leader of Clan Ithell. I am the new Lady Ithell - I sang her part of the city into shape!

          • If you're Lady Ithell, what happened to Kelyn?
            • Lady Ithell: I'm still Kelyn. I'm not possessed - my memories haven't been changed. But I have some new knowledge as well - abilities that the old Lady Ithell encoded into her statue plans. The knowledge I need to be the new Lady Ithell.
              • If you have not yet helped Lady Ithell with crystal singing research.
                • Lady Ithell: Well, some of it, anyway. My head is so full of chants and schematics and songs it hurts, and I'm still trying to make sense of it all.

              • If you have helped Lady Ithell with crystal singing research.
                • Lady Ithell: Well, some of it, anyway. My head is so full of chants and schematics and songs it hurts, but thanks to your help I'm making much better sense of it all.
                  • (Returns to previous options)
          • Why didn't you ever build that statue yourself?
            • Lady Ithell: I must have walked past those plans on the walls every day for years, and never noticed them. Sometimes it takes an outsider's eye to see details. I doubted I could build the statue like you could. It took a master of construction to properly express all the details that made up Lady Ithell's soul. So, I set myself a task when I arrived in Prifddinas. I tried to replicate your statue here. I don't think it's as good as yours, to be honest. I have Lady Ithell's knowledge, but talent isn't so easily inherited. I'll keep working at it. I want to have an image of Lady Ithell here with me, to watch over me, and help me remember her legacy. At least it's better than my first attempt. I wish the clan hadn't made that little statue a centrepiece of the harmonium. It's awful...the clumsy work of an amateur chanter, but I learned a lot from singing it.
              • (Returns to previous options)
          • How are you coping with your new role?
            • Lady Ithell: I...I'm not coping very well, to be honest. My head feels like a waterskin that's full to bursting. Sometimes I get headaches, and when I sleep, I have frightening dreams. The clan looks to me for guidance. They expect me to have Lady Ithell's wisdom, but my nose bleeds when I try to understand her memories. I wonder...did Lady Ithell choose me, or was I just in the right place at the right place at the right time? I'm probably too young to be an elder, but I'm going to do the best job I can.

      • Ask about Clan Ithell...
        • Player: Can you tell me about Clan Ithell?
        • Lady Ithell: We're most well-known for our ability to sing crystal seeds - tiny, precious fragments of Seren herself - into new and glorious shapes.
          • BeforeThe Light Within
            • Lady Ithell: Quite a lot of these gifts from Seren were kept safe on Tarddiad, the true home of the elves. We've not been able to return to Tarddiad since we lost access to the World Gate in the Second Age.

            • Lady Ithell: Quite a lot of these gifts from Seren were kept safe on Tarddiad, the true home of the elves. Thanks to you we now have a chance to go back there and recover them. Something we thought impossible after the Second Age.
              • (Continues below)
        • Lady Ithell: Guthix established his edicts after the God Wars of the Third Age, to protect Gielinor from the gods. Seren didn't want to be separated from us, so to share her power with the elves, Seren shattered her body. These crystal seeds come from Seren. By vocalising at a pitch beyond human hearing, and by varying tone, a crystal chanter can change the shape and size of a crystal seed. Gifted chanters can even imbue powers into these objects. Crystal singing isn't limited to the Ithell clan, but more crystal chanters are born into our family than any of the other clans.

      • Ask about Ithell skills...
        • Player: Can you tell me about Clan Ithell's skills?
        • Lady Ithell: We are the architects of Prifddinas, responsible for its construction and maintenance. Most of the city's infrastructure was encoded in the Grand Library, but through crystal singing we shape the spires, buildings and walkways, as needed by the clans. We also chant crystal seeds into tools, instruments, and even weapons. I suppose it's roughly equivalent to what humans call 'crafting'...though our equipment is much prettier.

            • Upgrade the dragon hatchet in my tool belt.

            • If you have no dragon or crystal hatchets or pickaxes in your inventory
              • Lady Ithell: You are not carrying any dragon or crystal tools I can upgrade or revert.
          • After making at least one crystal hatchet or pickaxe
            • Tell me again about the process.
              • Lady Ithell: Normally you'd have to grow a hatchet or pickaxe from a tool seed, and it would degrade with use. However, since you're determined to break the fundamental laws of crystal singing, I speculate I could substitute the tool seed for a core of dragon metal. That should maintain the tool's structural integrity. Then I'd coat the dragon metal in a dense matrix of harmonic dust. After I sing a hard shell of crystal around the item, it should be susceptible to an enchantment that inhibits degradation. It might work, or the tool could shatter in a shower of flesh-rending fragments on impact. You'll be nice enough to let me know which occurred, if you survive the explosion, won't you?

    • Before talking to Lady Ithell about storing crystal seeds
      • Is there anything I can do for you?
        • Lady Ithell: Well, there is one little favour you could do for me... You see, the previous Lady Ithell pursued a research project late in her life. I'm not sure if she ever finished it - she imbued the statue schematic with her memories quite a time before she died. The version of Lady Ithell in my mind had only just taken the first steps on a long journey of discovery. She was looking for a way to stabilise crystals, so they do not degrade with use. I want to continue her work.
        • Player: So what's the favour?
        • Lady Ithell: I need crystal seeds. Depleted seeds. As many as possible. Just to study them, you understand - you can collect your crystal seeds any time you like.
        • Player: Seeds with charges won't do?
        • Lady Ithell: No, they need to be reverted to their most basic seed form. Lady Ithell was sure there's some inhibitor in the basic nature of the seeds - these tiny fragments of Seren - that limits their potency. Oh, Lady Hefin would throw a fit if she heard me talk that way about Seren. I'm sure Seren wouldn't deliberately restrict her chosen people. Still, there's incredible power in the crystal seeds, and I believe through crystal singing we're barely tapping their true potential. So, will you let me look after your crystal seeds?
          • Open your crystal seed store.
            • (Crystal Seed Storage opens)
          • Tell me again why you need crystal seeds.

        • Lady Ithell: Actually, I was wondering if you could help me with a little project. It would really help me if you'd handle some magic crystal items for me. If I can understand how elf crystal reacts to humans, it will help me make sense of some of the former Lady Ithell's memories. If you could sing or find me a fully charged crystal staff, wand, orb, and ward, I'll expand your own knowledge of Magic. I'll even re-imburse you the crystal seed for each item.

    • Nothing, thanks.
