First conversationEdit

  • Acca Otot: Good day human. I was told of your fortuitous arrival. Please, allow me to welcome you to the city of Otot!
  • Option 1: Thank you, I'm <Player>, and you are?
    • Acca Otot: I am the proud Acca of this marvellous city! Here, we rebuild our civilization! Here, we preserve our culture!
    • Acca Otot: Sorry human, I'm a bit excitable about what we've preserved here. Now, is there any way I may be of service?
  • Option 2: City? It's a collection of about seven tents!
    • Acca Otot: I know! It's wonderful, isn't it?
    • Acca Otot: I am the proud Acca of this marvellous city! Here, we rebuild our civilisation! Here, we preserve our culture!
    • Acca Otot: Sorry human, I'm a bit excitable about what we've preserved here. Now, is there are[sic] way I may be of service?

  • Acca Otot: Good day human. Is there some way I can help you?

If a player has a Goebie relic in their inventory

  • Option 1: I found this relic...
    • Acca Kanatah: Those relics are of great cultural significance to my people. I can't afford to pay you for them, but if you were willing to part with them, I'd ensure that goebies everywhere knew that we were indebted to you.
    • If you hand over your relics, you will gain X reputation with the goebies.
    • Trade your X relics for X reputation?
    • Option 1: Yes.
      • Acca Otot: Thank you human. From all goebies, thank you.
    • Option 2: No.
      • Acca Otot: Very well human. I wish I could compensate you adequately.
  • Option 1: Ask about the people of Otot.
    • Option 1: What's an Acca?
      • Acca Otot: An Acca is the leader of a Geobie community. The Acca is traditionally the eldest Goebie, but not always.
      • Acca Otot: It isn't uncommon for this elder to be immobilised by the weight of their back, making them an impractical leader.
      • Acca Otot: In that case, the would-be Acca selects who they believe to be the wisest Goebie, who serves in their place.
    • Option 2: Goebie names.
      • Player: I've noticed a lot of Goebies don't seem to have names, and many of the rest have taken or been given human names.
      • Acca Otot: Yes. Names for people are a new concept to us. They never really occured[sic] for us.
      • Acca Otot: They are awfully convenient. I can see why your people invented them!
      • Player: But don't you have a name?
      • Acca Otot: Not exactly, Acca Otot is a title. When a new leader is chosen, they will become Acca Otot, and I will cease to be so.
    • Option 3: I'd like to talk about something else.
      • Previous selection
  • Option 2: Ask about places.
    • Option 1: Ask about Otot.
      • Acca Otot: Otot is the last of the great old cities! It has stood in this very place since before the destroyer spirit came to us!
      • Option 1: How did Otot withstand that?
        • Acca Otot: I believe that the destroyer saw our ancestors, together and unafraid, and balked at such an immovable object.
        • Player: So you don't no[sic]?
        • Acca Otot: Well, there aren't exactly any eye witnesses left, but I think I'm on the right track.
      • Option 2: How come the Airut haven't found you since then?
        • Acca Otot: They've found is[sic] before now, but they have a lot of trouble getting to us.
        • Acca Otot: They tend to get lost and split up in Nemi forest. They're big and dumb, the forest is bigger and cunning.
        • Acca Otot: It's allowed Otot to become our last remaining long-term settlement.
    • Option 2: Ask about Mazcab
      • Acca Otot: Mazcab is our world. I hope it is much unlike yours, human.
      • Acca Otot: Mazcab is a dead place. The area surrounding the nearby temple is the last of what's left.
      • Acca Otot: The rest is desert and ocean, and has been ever since the destroyer spirit came.
      • Option 1: Destroyer spirit? Do you mean Tuska?
        • Acca Otot: Tuska? That is the name the Airut gave the destroyer spirit.
        • Acca Otot: It is told that the spirit appeared to us long ago. That it crashed through the sky.
        • Acca Otot: With each step, it shook our world and many fell, never to stand again.
        • Acca Otot: The spirit drank deeply of the heart of Chantli. As it did, it shed the Airut from its' skin.
        • Acca Otot: With each sip from the heart, the ancient spirits, protectors of Chantli, began to wither.
        • Acca Otot: When the spirit was done, all that remained was Mazcab, a ruin of what once was.
        • Acca Otot: The Airut remained. They became our masters.
        • Acca Otot: Tell me human, Where[sic] did you hear of Tuska?
          • Option 1: It's a long story. Maybe another time.
            • Acca Otot: Very well, human. I'll be here when you're ready to talk.
          • Option 2: She came to my world recently. We managed to kill her, but it took a lot of effort.
            • Acca Otot: You defeated the destroyer spirit?
            • Player: Not alone, no. It took tens of thousands of the champions of my people and four other gods to defeat her.
            • Acca Otot: I am not familiar with these 'gods'. What exactly is a god?
              • Option 1: An immortal being.
                • Player: They're immortal and some can even warp the world around them.
                • Player: They walk between worlds, and can... do... godly stuff.
                • Acca Otot: I must confess human, I'm not sure I understand.
                • Acca Otot: I must also confess, what you're saying scares me.
              • Option 2: A selfish being, hungry for power.
                • Player: They are old, powerful, and only care to further their own agendas.
                • Acca Otot: I must confess human, I'm not sure I understand.
                • Acca Otot: I must also confess, what you're saying scares me.
                • Player: They walk between worlds, and can... do... godly stuff.
          • Option 3: Ask about Chantli.
            • Option 1: What did you mean by Tuska drinking from Chantli?
              • Acca Otot: The destroyer spirit consumed all in her path. Even our pyramids and guardians couldn't stop her.
              • Acca Otot: With each temple she toppled, she lapped up that which lived inside, the lifeblood of Chantli.
              • Acca Otot: With each taste, she grew and our lands shrivelled.
            • Option 2: When did you leave Chantli?
              • Acca Otot: We moved to Mazcab shortly after the destroyer arrived.
              • Option 1: How did you leave Chantli?
                • Acca Otot: It just happened, human. I don't know how to explain.
                • Player: Did you use a portal? Teleport maybe?
                • Acca Otot: No, human. We were on Chantli, then we were on Mazcab.
              • Option 2: Did Tuska follow you?
                • Acca Otot: The destroyer followed us, yes.
              • Option 3: Ask about something else.
                • Previous selection
            • Option 3: How was Chantli imperfect?
              • Acca Otot: Maybe once it was perfect, but it grew old and weary.
              • Acca Otot: The land began to crack, the seas began to rise and the nights grew longer.
              • Acca Otot: Our ancestors could tell that their world was dying, so they built great temples and struck a bargain with the spirits.
              • Acca Otot: The temples focused the power of Chantli's spirit beasts, and, together, they held the world in harmony.
              • Acca Otot: By the time the destroyer spirit left, most of our pyramids were destroyed or damaged. The one nearby is the last that even my grand parent had heard of.
              • Acca Otot: This last temple cannot prevent Mazcab's decline.
              • Player: I thought you said the temples were on Chantli? Why is this one here on Mazcab?
              • Acca Otot: As it is told, it came with us, human.
            • Option 4: I'd like to ask about something else.
              • Previous selection
          • Option 4: Ask about the Airut.
            • Acca Otot: The Airut came from the destroyer spirit. They were birth from its' flesh.
            • Acca Otot: When the destroyer left, we thought we had been spared.
            • Acca Otot: We haven't been spared.
            • Option 1: What did the Airut do when Tuska left?
              • Acca Otot: When the destroyer left, the Airut finished her work. They attacked our remaining settlements and tore us from our homes.
              • Acca Otot: Those who resisted were killed, the rest were put to work.
              • Acca Otot: It was then as it is today. Our ancestors either reluctantly serve their new masters, or they fled. Either way, they died by Airut hands eventually.
              • Acca Otot: I'm sorry, I prefer not to speak of these bleak matters. Otot has remained for years and I don't want to question the fate of my home.
            • Option 2: Why don't you fight back against them?
              • Acca Otot: Our ancestors fought back. I can presume it didn't take.
              • Acca Otot: We've had some limited success running from them, but sooner or later they catch up to us.
              • Acca Otot: Otot has stood for as long as any of us can remember, but we've never been able to settle elsewhere for any more than a few weeks.
              • Acca Otot: We're lucky. The Airut tend to get lost in the forest before they manage to make it here.
            • Option 3: I'd like to talk about something else.

Trinks' taskEdit

  • Acca Otot: Good day human. Is there some way I can help you?
  • Acca Otot: Oh, I see you bring news from Acca Kanatah!
  • Acca Otot: Hmmm, very intriguing. Here, let me scrawl a mark on your palm. Take it back to Trinks in Kanatah with haste!
  • Acca Otot appears to circle the symbols on your palm, you should return to Trinks in Kanatah with the response!
