Tomes of Magic are summoned by Lexicus Runewright during the fight with him. They, along with Tomes of Strength and Tomes of Ranged, only have 10 life points and if hit they will always die. However, they hit very hard for their level and are able to do so from a long range. When Lexicus summons them they will be at a random level, but their level does depend on Lexicus's level. The lower Lexicus is, the lower they are.

They are similar to the also magic-based Animated Books on the occult floors, although those have more than health, and deal higher damage.
