TokKul-Zo detail
The Tokkul-Zo is a ring received as a reward for completing The Elder Kiln quest. It boosts damage against Tzhaar, Fire or Obsidian creatures (meaning Tzhaar, volcanic creatures inside Fight Caves or TokHaar) by 10%. However, the ring will not work with the TokTz-Ket-Dill from the Dominion Tower. This damage boost does stack with Slayer helm boost while on a slayer task.

It comes with 3000 charges, which are used when the player attacks a Lava or Obsidian creature. One charge is used every time you hit. Separate hits in a single attacks will take multiple charges. For example, if you use the Dark bow, 2 charges are depleted because 2 arrows are used in each shot.

The ring can be recharged by paying either TzHaar-Mej-Ak or TzHaar-Mej-Jeh 16 Tokkul per missing charge, which actually adds up to 48,000 Tokkul, contrary to what it says in the destroy dialogue.

Contents

Assuming that the ring is recharged only when completely depleted, and that the tokkul used would otherwise go to buying an uncut onyx, recharging would cost about 59,352 coins, about 20 coins for each charge on average.

If you die with the ring, you will not be able to retrieve it from your grave. If you die and lose the ring, you can retrieve another one by speaking to TzHaar-Mej-Ak or TzHaar-Mej-Jeh. It will be uncharged so you will have to speak with them to charge it. However, the ring can be chosen as an item protected upon death, so it is strongly recommended that you protect the ring over a different item that is easier to replace.

Teleports

The ring can also be used to teleport to and around the TzHaar City. The possible locations to where you can teleport are:

Teleporting uses up 5-10 charges, even when inside of the TzHaar City. Although this is the case, a ring without any charges will not have the teleport option on it. You need to recharge the ring again to use the teleports.

It is very useful for gaining quick access to the Fairy ring network from anywhere in the world, as the Fight Caves teleport is just south of the TzHaar fairy ring B-L-P.

A number of the teleport locations also have a bank close to them, which can be very useful for tasks that require frequent banking. Because of its ability to grant players extremely quick access to a bank and the Fairy ring network, the TokKul-Zo can be a very desirable item.

The ring's combat bonuses make it a useful item in any combat situation, regardless of its damage boosting abilities against certain creatures.

Note that the ring has no combat bonuses when it is uncharged in addition to not being able to teleport.

The ring is a very useful equivalent to a Seer's, Archer's, and Warrior's ring, but combined in one item.

The ring also has comparable stats to those of a Diamond ring (i). Whilst the Diamond ring (i) has one extra stab attack bonus, TokKul-Zo has +4 in all defence bonuses and the Diamond ring (i) does not. This makes the Tokkul-Zo a better choice for most situations.

Other rings such as Dragonstone ring (i) and Onyx ring (i) have higher stats in all areas. However, TokKul-Zo is a good alternative to rings imbued through Mobilising Armies, which require considerable time to unlock.

Trivia

  • Even though the TokKul-Zo is supposed to work against "TzHaar, Fire and Obsidian creatures," it has no effect on Fire Giants as no charges are used.
