Time
Discuss19on this wiki
Time here is in the context of Distractions and Diversions rewards or any other event which requires a certain waiting time. The term tomorrow or one day is not exactly the same depending upon the event; however, a "day" in Runescape is equivalent to a day in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC/GMT):

Events that reset daily at other times
Edit

Weekly
Edit
Events that reset 7 days after last activity
Edit
- Skeletal horror, can be fought again after 1 week (actually 6 days and 23 hours, this is so people can attempt them at the same time every week, and avoids players' attempts slowly creeping to later and later times each week) after last battle; quest journal entry gives remaining time left to fight again. Can be done only after the wishlist for the quest Fur 'n' Seek is complete.
- Tears of Guthix can be played again after 1 week (actually 6 days and 23 hours) after last completion. The quest journal for Tears gives the time remaining to play again.
Events that reset the seventh time 00:00 (UTC) passes after activity
Edit
This means that after exactly 6 days have passed, the event will reset at the next 00:00 UTC (So if you complete it at 13:00 UTC, it can next be attempted in 6 days and 11 hours).
- In Shattered Heart, the Dahmaroc statue in Varrock Museum can be mostly rebuilt immediately after the previous one explodes. However the final two pieces (which trigger the next explosion) cannot be added until one week has passed.
- Once players have access to the Thieves' Guild (following completion of the Buyers and Cellars quest), on a weekly basis they can exchange "hanky points" for thieving xp. Collection of the points can be done immediately after the reset, but exchanging them for xp cannot be done for another week.
- In Familiarisation, 60 shards can be collected every week.
- Competitors in the Fish Flingers Distraction and Diversion who have used up all of their entry tickets may claim 14 new entry tickets per week.
Events that reset weekly at other times
Edit
- Balthazar Beauregard's Big Top Bonanza resets weekly on Wednesday between 0:00 and 1:00 (UTC), at approximately the time that the server has been running for an integral number of hours. For example, if a game update is released at 10:37 Tuesday morning (UTC), the circus will reset shortly after 0:37 Wednesday.
- Penguin Hide and Seek resets weekly on Wednesday between 0:00 and 1:00 (UTC), at approximately the time that the server has been running for an integral number of hours.
- Meg returns to your Player-owned port weekly Wednesday after 0:00 (UTC).
- The Barmaid has fresh gossip every week on Thursday from 0:00 to 23:59 (UTC).
Biweekly
Edit
- Court Cases from Batch 2 are allowed once every 14 days
Monthly
Edit
- The Troll Invasion can be repeated for the reward once per month.
- God Statues
Variable wait time
Edit
- The wait time for the full grown jade vine is about 12 hours with a large range (10 to 24 hours) with another 3 hours (range 2–4 hours) to the slayer stage.
- A new Evil tree begins to grow every 1 – 4 hours. The time is random and is not synchronised across all game worlds. (player rewards are limited to two Evil Trees per day, see above). Actual regrowth on any particular world begins 2 hours after the previous tree is killed or dies of its own accord on that world. These times are reset after a game update, and then become unsynchronized due to variances in the time at which the tree dies on each world.
