The Thingy was an unusual item found only via the Grand Exchange, although it was impossible to actually buy it. This item was first discovered when a player decided to search for "Thingy" on the Grand Exchange. It has the same appearance of a sapphire amulet. A Jagex Mod has confirmed that this was merely a joke added by the Content Development team, as quoted below:

As mentioned, this item is completely unobtainable and has since been removed from the Grand Exchange. If you look up "Thingy" now nothing appears to match the search.

- The examine info for the Thingy is "Mabob.", as in Give me that thingymabob; meaning an item which has a name which the speaker cannot remember at the time.
- The "thingy" used the same picture as a strung Sapphire amulet and Amulet of Magic.
