Thingummywut

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

Thingummywut is a term often used by Traiborn, a wizard currently studying in the Wizards' Tower in southern Misthalin.

No one is sure what a thingummywut actually is. Traiborn, when asked, usually answers in a strange way that makes little sense. He seems to believe that they reside within the Wizards' Tower, performing mischief of some kind. As none have been sighted, many consider them to be a myth, one of Traiborn's many inventions. His strange behaviour in recent years has discredited his claims.

Jagex occasionally makes references to thingummywuts in the Postbag from the Hedge[1]. Often characters will mention them, and on one occasion Traiborn himself discussed their existence.

Saradomin in God letters also complimented the thingummywuts as "a combination of a lack of vocabulary in a half-senile old man, and a lifetime of misunderstood paranoia"[2] and "is the fear that cannot be named, yet nestles deep in his (Traiborn's) heart and has done for many years".
